Hi guys Anyone on here use/own a hydraulic bike ramp. I've been on the lookout for 1 for a while now and was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them and on which 1's to go for. Thanks
I have one mate, but hardly use it as it,s too high and difficult to get off bike when I ride it onto ramp. Ok when I have some help. Buy the lowest, widest , longest you can afford. Home made ones are the lowest and use a removable trolley jack to lift them. They have safety latches to keep ramp up so that you can remove jack. Sealey make good ones for about 350 quid or make yer own for a lot less.
Colin the bloke I picked my bike ramp up had a hydraulic one in his garage with built on wheel clamps and it's own hydraulics. Anyway I got chatting to him and he owns his own importation business and is importing the very same ramps in for about £250, I'm prob gonna buy one as I was very impressed if your interested let me know and I'll get you his details!
Can you put some pics, details up if you do go for it Ben as I might be interested in one at that sort of price
Hi Benn I could very well be interested in 1 of these mate. If you can get some pics up that will be great.
Mines by Ranger lifts 750kg so does all types of bikes and even atv's with the side ramps it cost £1750, it depends on how much you want to spend, check out probike.co.uk but they start are around a grand or machine mart sell them too.
I've been keeping my eye on this 1 as it close by to me. Motorcycle Lift Heavy Duty Hydraulic Lift Workbench With Front Wheel Clamp 500Kg | eBay
Is that the one I posted but the proper version? Cheers Rob I struggle to manage posting on my phone most of the time lol
My second hand one cost 150quid plus 40 to pick up. Only just wide enough and no where to put sidestand down to get off the bike. With most of em you will need one of those front cradles to hold bike upright while you dismount and then put it on rear paddock stand. Otherwise it,s a two man job .!!!
Yeah defiantly big enough I was talking to him about how to use it, it has a removable ramp to for getting the bike on initially!
I paid £285 brand new, from a seller on ebay. Its says made in China, but is identical to the Clarke one but without the badge;the Clarke one was over £450 if I recall. I have had it a few years now & its still in perfect working order. Its plenty wide enough for paddock stands & an abba stand. I will try to remember the supplier.
Just ordered one from my local Honda dealers. It's a BikeIt/BikeTek one. Will report back once it gets here.
