I have been sat here in Lincolnshire watching the rain come down non stop for hours, so I decided to get out for a ride, sorry drive, I was so in need of miles I took the car out ! the roads were dotted with rivers and small lakes certainly not biking whether! Next weekend the wife is working so I have all weekend on my bike, let's hope the weather is better and the roads are dry!

It's been absolutely terrible all day today. Biblical rain falling practically sideways in howling wind. I've had to sit in the back room with a crate of Guinness and my feet up watching the bike racing, until I got served my roast dinner on my lap (too depressed to get up to go to the dinner table). Then the Heineken cup semi final, bloody good game too, and finally I'm having to suffer the last BTCC race of the day with Jeanette calling what would I like for tea.

    Will this suffering ever end?

Always suffering you are Ken. One of my heroes:D And here's me doing seven night shifts , followed by 4 days in Shropshire and North Wales, drinking and riding (but not at the same time).:D

    Try it, you never know.

Megs, it's not an easy life, I know, but I try to make the best of it and not inflict my suffering on others.

For example, I've just realised that prick Toby Moody is commentating and the remote is just out of reach from where I'm lying. I could call Jeanette in to pass it to me but I don't want her to see me like this.

The rain seems to be easing slightly now after 10 hrs of downpours. a really nice day forecast for tomorrow so hopefully the blade will move for the first time in 3 weeks.

Ken i feel your pain as i also have had the misery of watching moto gp, taking the family out for a sunday carvery and now im just about to sit down and watch btcc. but at least i got breakfast in bed to make it better

I had a good ride out today , headed towards the east coast from Leeds , only problems where all the gravel that has washed into the country lanes , lots of small rivers runnimg across the roads too , still enjoyed having a nice coffee half way through the ride , then called at a friends on the way home

Well done lads. The closest I got was having the roof down on the way home, but it was sooooo good to look at the sky without the risk of drowning.

I dedicated today to biking. Had a great ride, did about 120 miles and only one little shower to interupt the speed. Great to have a longer ride, only stopped once for fuel and once to look at helmets, might try a schuberth for a change, although I hear they can have a misting prob when it'scold/damp. Had to have a major clean afterwards as some twat in a jeep went through a large puddle at about 60 mph and soaked the bike with dirty water.
