Well got the Brembo 19 RCS Master Cylinder fitted and it looks amazing. The only pain when fitting it was that the banjo is not as accessible as the OE lever so you cannot TQ it up using a socket, I hand tightened it with a spanner which was nerve racking as I always seem to strip threads recently !! but all is OK and no leaks after I left it ty wrapped up last night to let ant remaining air be released. I was a bit worried that it would just the same as the OE lever, but the difference is amazing so much more feel from the lever and the adjustment is spot on, I am very happy and the quality is spot on, only problem is I will have to get the matching clutch lever (thanks Arthur for telling me they existed). Here are some pics
Looks nice mate and like you say they WORK thats the thing, and adjustment like no other... Those race spec banjo bolts are a work of art too! All you need now is the Ti bleed nipplles all round and as you say the clutch lever! You know they do low drag levers too mate and the ones you have sell well on eBay.. You may tell me to go away....lol
Just go away and stop posting these kind of things really looks good though and cant wait for the road test
Hi got one of those on mine , I also replaced the front pads with Brembo road and track pads , the ones with the silver backs , the brakes are now awsome , I went to Cadwell last year with this set up and was able to out brake alot later going in to bends enabling me to get past people , Really good set up !!!!
so Jamie - what is the total cost for all the necessary bits? Does it come with a bracket and reservoir or do you use the stock res? What clutch lever are you using? I had a quick look at the brembo clutch lever and it is over £100! I could sell my ASVs when i get the Brembo gear i suppose.
300 odd quid last time i checked plus an extra 50 for the resevior kit ..well worth the extra cash thou
Clutch lever is £150, just bought one. Brembo bracket and resevoir bottle is between £48 - £58 (depends on supplier), however you can make your own bracket and use original reservoir bottle.
Brake reservoir and the 19 RCS M/C are £259 delivered from Italy Caprimoto inc of delivery and all taxes paid clutch lever was £130 from them http://www.carpimoto.com/31895_110A26310-Radial-Brake-Master-Cylinder-Brembo-19RCS-.htm http://www.carpimoto.com/33710_110A26385-Bracket-Reservoir-Mounting-Kit-for-Brembo-RCS-Brake-mc.htm http://www.carpimoto.com/39128_110B...cal-Clutch-Lever-for-Honda-CBR-600-RR-07-.htm C'mon steve you know you want to, don't want a damn HRC having better parts than the race bred REPSOL that would be so I have not got the clutch lever yet as It is a bit pricey but may go worth one later, happy with my Pazzo copy for now
The Mrs noticed I was watching the RCS on ebay last night. "£255 for a brake lever" she shouted! I tried explaining it is not just a brake lever, but she was having none of it. I got a bollocking!
lol when I ordered the Ohlins rear shock for the R1 my wife hit the bloody roof ! I explained it was gold and shiny, it had better damping and rebound adjustment and remote pre load adjuster..... She said I was a complete dick and walked off..... I got the shock but in some small way I think I am still paying for it now and the bike is long gone ! I would not put bits on the watched list Steve, I no longer do ............I just order them But you can fight back with you spent £260 on Rearsets and I did not even ask you too !!!! so why is a Brembo RCS different ? but I doubt it will work
