Just had my first proper ride out with my new RCS M/C, and I could not be happier, see what you mean Bats, so much better than the OE M/C tons of feed back much more controlled braking and the added bonus it looks fantastic ! Amazing ! You wouldn't like it Steve .......... You would LOVE it !!
Sorry I did not get the matching clutch lever as I wanted carbon infills for the tank and under the seat and I had to make a decision though it is on the list for the future I have a Pazzo style black lever and it does not look out of place, but would be nice to have the matching set
will be fitting mine soon, i have a brand new one and will fit it soon,am unsure as to get the clutch as well.
Its just the price tag of £130 which puts me off, after all it is just to match the RCS, as it is mechanical the function will be no different, I would like one but !!!!!!!
Jamie, can you use the HEL banjos with it? Any difference in the fitting to the oem cylinder as far as angles go etc? I'm tempted to get the lot, but with the Rizoma bracket. is it definitely worth it. I can gain a few quid by selling a set of ASV levers to go towrds the cost.
You are supplied a double banjo with the kit as it is a 1.0 instead of a 1.25 pitch, On the Honda set up I used 3 brass washers and it was fine with the hel lines but with the Brembo I needed to use 4 washers or it simply would not tighten enough, also you need to mount the lever next to the kill switch as in the OE position the banjo rests on the fork tube, you can also forget using a socket and TQ wrench to tighten the banjo as its to close to the fork leg so a spanner and 2 white knuckles seemed to do the trick The ASV's will help with the cost, I just have a cheap set of Hong kong levers I bought for less than £20, and although good quality dont think they will sell on ebay I will get the matching lever, and am interested to hear of a Rizoma bracket ? you got a link to them ? You buggers will bankrupt me lol
Hi Steve Currently having problems uploading pictures. Any chance you could upload the picture for me, will send you photo again Many thanks Rich
Cutch switch Does the lever come with the mount ? that looks brilliant and may change my mind as I thought it was just the lever
Jamie, what is the difference in "feel/operation" between the two settings on the RCS? I guess the 20 setting requires more force on the lever to get the same effect as it has less mechanical advantage. I spoke to someone a while ago with an adjustable brembo (dont know if it was the same as yours) and he said in one of the positions it was a one finger job and the braking force was very severe and quick. Comments please....
I have only tried 20 so far as Arthur said that was the best I find it to be like yo said a little more mechanical movement to get the same result as the OE, but it feels more controlled and progressive, I feel much more confident that I know exactly whats going on with the brakes. I will give the 18 a go and see what its like but as I am stuck in the house this weekend may be a while until I can put forward a better review
I thought you just got the lever CarpiMoto - Brembo RCS Type Mechanical Clutch Lever for Honda CBR 600 RR 07- - Honda CBR 1000 RR 08-11
