Ducati rider Valentino Rossi expected to retire from MotoGP at the end of this season - Telegraph I hope not, would like to see rossi on a winning bike again and get back to his best before he thinks of retiring
While I desperately want to see Valentino do well on the Ducati, it is just not going to happen, the past couple of years have taken there toll on the legend. I agree that, if it is his choice it would be a good time to leave and look at racing cars instead, not because I want him to, I will be devastated to see him leave, but because I think he could leave with his head held high, not leave injured or bitter after a desperate attempt to go out on a high because that's what people expect, he has given us years of the best racing ever witnessed, that's enough for me Its just a shame that Marco will not be there to take over as the personality in MotoGP RIP Marco
100% agree, Marco was going to be my replacement for a rider i enjoy to watch race. Hoping Rossi stays for 1 more year on a bike he can win on and leave on a high. as for racing cars that would be great to see and watch. GT racing maybe at le mans etc....
Gutted if he does - it's been a dream for years with my italian brother in law to do his home race and do the Sunday walk to the track - my bro in law has just passed his test finally and we were going to do it next year.... Boooo ;(
I wonder if Vale & Burgess will get a little retirement villa together? Oh to have made your fortune & be able to retire at 34! Lucky git. It could also be a cunning stunt to get an uber pay deal for a 2013 ride, although in this age of budget cuts & austerity, that probably won't happen. Imagine Vale coming to WSB & getting up to his old antics with Biaggi!
Im soooo happy. rossi has just confirmed this story is made up and he is not going to quit. Jimbo you may go to mugello
