    seems too expensive to be for a standard shock.
    I am sure the first few went for around the £100 mark.

    Thats the problem, they use to be around the £100 mark but as soon as people found out how good they were for the 08-11 models as an upgrade, the price shot up.

    As long as someone is willing to pay that price, they will sell for that but if you compare the cost against an aftermarket one which most of will not get the best from on the road, it's a cheap upgrade.

    I thought people were having problems with the touching the rear hugger

    They are ok when you fit a 2012 hugger or mod one from a 08-11.

    Just finished modifying my Repsol hugger this weekend for the 2012 shock. I cut a small crescent shape out of the hugger where the shock touches. Had a run out to Elan Valley with no problems.

    You have to get very close to spot the mod but you have to be preparded to hack a hole in a £180 hugger. It was a no brainer for me as the bike looked crap without the hugger.
