Thats the problem, they use to be around the £100 mark but as soon as people found out how good they were for the 08-11 models as an upgrade, the price shot up. As long as someone is willing to pay that price, they will sell for that but if you compare the cost against an aftermarket one which most of will not get the best from on the road, it's a cheap upgrade.

Just finished modifying my Repsol hugger this weekend for the 2012 shock. I cut a small crescent shape out of the hugger where the shock touches. Had a run out to Elan Valley with no problems. You have to get very close to spot the mod but you have to be preparded to hack a hole in a £180 hugger. It was a no brainer for me as the bike looked crap without the hugger. Steve
