Someone liked it as its Sold :)

Agreed its not to my taste, but he has put lots of effort into that and the paintwork is very nice from a technique standpoint :)

The Roland Sands one is good though. A few copies of it on the US site too.

Maybe its because im young but i cant understand why you would want to buy a cb1000r. I mean its just a fireblade with bits missing

I test rode one before I bought the blade its good, but like you fez I just felt it was not a full bike, it was fun and fast but not a patch on the blade, I do like naked bikes but just think thats a few years off at the moment :)

In naked bike defense on the road my mates Superduke kicks my ass its so easy to ride fast, on the track its a massively different story so they arnt all bad ;)

Our US cousins don't get the CB1000 though (or didn't anyway, maybe Honda sell it there now?)

The CB1000 has a tuned down 2006 fireblade engine if I'm not mistaken .. no where near the power of our bikes

Spot on Dan! Still don't understand the temptation to rip all the plastics off tho, each to their own I suppose ;)

The thread has answered it's own question...
I think people build streetfighters because the factory naked bikes are compromised (although this is less and less true as time goes by, and nobody mention the Apilia Tuono ;))
