They say he has ALL his lids, gloves, boots and leathers, NONE have been sold so thats just a few.. Other riders often sell them for charity etc but the VR stuff goes to his personal museum I wonder if VR46 pays for them or the teams? Also when you think that custom made A* AirBag leathers are £5,500.00 each thats some dosh...!
My brother bought it for me at a corporate charity golf day, he bid the first bid and no one else wanted it! Amazing hey
Apparently two of Rossi's helmets are not in his personal collection. One was auctioned at Silverstone Riders For Health, think it was 2010 when Rossi didn't race. Went for silly thousands of pounds. Can't remember what happened to the other one.
No idea mate, was a birthday present, so never asked. He's crazy and was hammered so prob quite expensive ha ha
He probably has it written into his contracts, I know some racers in years gone by (cars and bikes) would have their winning cars and bikes when they finnished racing them.
