Anyhow thank god you was nt injured or the "Dark Side" language would have been heard..... "No Fucking Way its too bloody dangerous" ! lol
No way! Sorry to hear your news, Colin. I'm glad you and the missus aren't seriously hurt. Hope their insurance sorts you out quickly and the bruises and bumps heal sort themselves out sharpish.
I know mate, but going by the colour that the young girl went, she will be punishing herself enough once she goes through it in her head. I just wish that when going for your driving test they would have you sit a cbt or something of the sort, that way people are more aware of what dangers we face.
Oh mate!!Glad you and the missus are ok apart from the bruises etc. F*cking idiots that don't bloody look!A life saver Look from the driver may have stopped her from turning. I'm sure another Bird will come along as good looking as your smashed one.Bike that is
Really am so sorry to hear that Colin. Try and look on the bright side if you can, you are both still here to tell the tail, it’s only a lump of metal and plastic mate, no one died. Well not until you get the assholes address that did the classic U turn. Having said that I can understand kind off understand how you feel about the blackbird, my bessy mate still has his original brought from new V&M limited edition of 50 units and he wont part with it for love nor money.
Mate, just came on and saw this, gutted for you dude. But as said, your both ok and thats the most important things. as much of a pain that the bike is trashed, it's replaceable and I'm just glad you guys didn't get hurt too bad.
I'm hoping to find another Blackbird again mate. Really rate it as a good bike for touring 2 up, plus it also has a nice turn of speed and handling to keep the excitement going.
You do know that Ken is going to be fuming that this has happened while he is away and can’t therefore add his “unique and sympathetic” comment. So selfish of you Colin. He is not going to be a happy bunny.
Lol. He's always 1 for cheering the subject up. Either that or lowering the tone to my kind of standards
I'm pretty sure that I must bounce well with this cushioning. I had to do a 5.8 dive from the bike as I seen myself going down straight into the kerb with my shoulder. It's amazing how quick your brain works to get out of danger. I basically managed to do a rollypolly away from the kerb and onto the pavement, saving my shoulder from too much damage.
Unfortunately mate there isn't much you can do. It was all I could think about when I went down. It was a case of fuck!! Stacey is on the back. After that there not a lot else u can think about apart from 'get up' or atleat try.
Sad news Colin, however the most important thing, you both walked/limped away. So I guess the blackbird did it's job and sacrificed itself for you. Hope you both get straight very soon.
Blimey! Hope you both recover soon. I always have it in my mind when I take my wife out; can't think of anything worse than knowing you are going down & there is nothing you can do to save her. I Don't give it a thought when riding alone.
