Lovely evening here so I had a ride across the top of the North Yorks moors and down through the Howardian hills to York to see a couple of friends. Then back across and up the A19 to Teesside. Sun just to say disappearing towards the horizon. I'm in love with the Blade. Any sense of intimidation that I had when I first traded up from a 600 is gone and I feel hooked into it in a way that I never even managed after 3 years of owning the R6. Should hopefully get even better on Tuesday as I'm booked in to get my suspension set up properly. One Happy Bunny
Every time i open my garage door and see my Blade i get a huge smile on my face,we have a thing going on.
There really is nothing quite like the blade when the roads r good and the sun is shining. Glad to hear your gelling with the bike. I also came from a 600 to the blade after only riding for a year and thought it would be intimidating. 2nd run out and I knew I had made the right decision.
It's a pretty special feeling ain't it. How's you and your missus' bruises and bumps coming along, mate?
I'll second and third those sentiments. Have only owned mine for 5 days and I've fallen head over heels. The only thing to compare was learning to Hang-glide way back in 1987!
We're doing ok mate. Just a bit sore and stiff. Could have been worse so looking on the bright side. Thanks for asking. The blade really is special, I honestly can't see me changing it for anything soon. Hopefully I'll be able to take it out for a spin this week as it's in the 20's up here and the bike is ready for a right good thrashing
My blade has been up my mums while I do my garage. Both the wife and my mum have no idea why I want the bike in my garage ASAP. Yes gives me a smile and makes me feel happy. Going to pick up the bike after work and the 2 mile trip home will end up be via Wales
if your in love so much why not ride over to the whistlestop in whitby tomorrow night as the weather is looking nice
Agree with this Fully, Totally, Undeniably!!! I traded up from a 2003 CBR600F, and at first on the Blade I was like, damn, this thing is ALOT of power!!! Now I know it is just perfect!!! At least for me!! I even enjoy washing her every weekend, where I would go months without washing the 600...
I'd bloody love to, mate. Unfortunately I've got to go out for dinner with the company chairman tonight in Durham I know it might sound churlish to turn my nose up at a free feed and drinks but dress it up any way you want and it's still work on a lovely sunny night when I should be out enjoying the bike.
Hey rich who's setting your suspension up for ya? Anyone local? Ta oh and enjoy your meal you'll be about 3 miles from me. Lol
Cheers mate It's the Fat Buddha in Durham so at least the food will be nice. Whereabouts are you? The suspension company is called Reactive Suspension. They're just north of York. Apparently the bloke is ex Suzuki BSB. I've seen good write ups about him on other forums. Here's his website Reactive Suspension, Motorcycle Suspension Specialists, WP UK Service Centre He's only charging £45 and reckons it'll take half an hour to 45 minutes.
