My Bike is Red and Black 07. Only Mods is a Black windscreen and Red Seat Cowl. Since I don't swing a wrench much, keeping it Stock makes for a tight connection with the Honda service Dept. Looks like a 916. Love it. Tried to attach a Photo.....but struggling with it. S
Since I live in the Southern Oregon Coast, Closiest track is in Portland 4.5hrs away. So I focus on the backroads. There are some sweet spots. My own Mugello by the Sea of sorts. Don't go on the major Hwys much unless I'm in a Roadtriping mode. Usually South on Hwy101. It's just a Pacific Ocean Panorama all the way to California. Even in the heat of Summer like now we have this Cooling Fog effect that keeps things usually in the 60's this time of year. You guys are going to have to convert to Celcius.....Forgot. 70 degrees or above is a heatwave at my house. Been to several Sportbike Courses every couple of yrs. Last one was with Freddy Spencer's School in Vegas when they were still open. They were helpful. I guess what pattern I've settled into is the quick fix. A Full Tank is about 155 mile range and I just plan a trip accordingly. Sorry no Kilometer conversion. The beauty of this Sport for me is the only part of the equation that is necessary is time and dry pavement is preferred. I did ride two Winters in a row with Rain tires and I just saw my 04 Bike age to quickly with it. Even with the best clean up efforts and Garage kept. Fill the Tank up, Rub off a couple of Bugs and I'm ready for another Day. S PS: Working on getting a Photo Posted.
4.5 hours away from local track. Christ thats a long way? Non closer? I grumble about going 2 hours for a good track. As For KM conversion we use Miles here mate. Europe has not changed us that much. Whats the weather like for you? I gather you know the UK is often wet but we seem to have had a good year so far. mid 20's degrees here
We get some long streaks of Rain here. Gets a person wondering if we're in the midst of 40 days and 40 nights. Horizontal Rain is a usual occurance in the Winter time. But the Pros are, Very rarely do we get snow. If so, it melts by midmorning. You can count the days that happens on one or two fingers. Grew up in Chicago. So being wrap around Outdoor beauty is still a treat for me. I can get by with fewer Urban Amenties. Got a Ducati ST4 back in 99 which was a big mistake located where I am. Had to put it on an 18 wheeler to ship it for valve adjustments every 6K. Hence the Ownership of a CBR now. Ironically, I have the Honda Service Dept just down the road from my Office and only need them for regular maintance. So my Motorbiking life has simplified immensily since my first CBR.
Also on the ST4, that 916 L-Twin Engine does not like to be under 40mi/hr. Dry clutch makes the Bike sound like it's broke too ! S

Hi Sixto Welcome to the site. I think you'll find we spell "humour" with two "u"'s and blokes a bit different too. Apart from that we're all just like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Kudos on your location, by the way. I live near a place called Dartmoor, you know, the one in the Hound of the Baskervilles, and that's pretty wildnerness-ish, but it's like Bruce Banner in a good mood compared to views out of your window. I had a Ducati and the local dealer was only three miles from me and even that was a pain in the arse to get fixed so I feel your pain. Speak soon Ken

Welcome mate. Visited northern Oregon in 1992. Beautiful state. Drove along the south side of the Columbia river and viewed all the dams and waterfalls including Multnomah. Want to visit Crater Lake one day.
