Going back to the OP I'm sure there doesn't need to be contact for the woman to be liable for the accident and therefore her insurance company should pay. Did she stop and exchanege details ?
She did but the rider blamed himself in the heat of the moment. She buggered off shaking her head saying he was riding like an idiot. Which he wasn't. The police were on scene within 2 mins as it was a major roundabout. No sure what's happening I gave my details and then we left. Not had any contact yet.
If there's no injuries and the parties have exhanged details the police won't be interested. It's not too late. It's easy to start blaming yourself while the shock is still in effect. If it was me I'd be putting a claim in against her insurance company. He should get on to sorrymate.com or someone like that.
