    guys
got caught today speeding came off dual carriage way into 40 then to 30 zone
didn't shut off quick enough fair cop
pulls me over ,chats for a while about it and my lack of mirror use and gives me 3 options
    take the fine & points
    go to court
speed awarness course.............. i take this option :)

gives me a ticket with op rider on it am i right i don't need to produce at the station just wait for the course

also he pointed out the small plate and politly suggested i get it changed.
as i said no hard feelings he was a nice guy ( ex biker ) pointed out the accidents he has to attend and left complimenting me on the blade
i was guilty and got caught just annoyed at myself for being so bloody stupid im not even a fast rider

Sorry to hear that Gray, I dread the thought myself, 32 years and never a point. Everyone's been telling me the Blade will lose me my licence.
The only consolation is that you couldn't have been too much over otherwise the speed awareness course wouldn't have been an option.

Speed wouldn't have been too much over if offered the speed awareness course I would imagine.

It will say on the paperwork if you have to produce anything but as most things can be checked at the roadside I doubt you need to produce anything other than your licence on the day of the course.

pees me off that i have to spend more time looking into every car that is parked up on country roads and constantlly looking behind me
to see if it an unmarked copper, instead of concentrating on the road ahead.
off to the tt now where i can do some proper riding .
why cant all coppers be like the ones on the iom?

    Going for the course
Number plate changed seems massive but not worth the grief
How the hell do you guys keep your license only had the blade a year
I'm not a fast rider at all but there so many ways to get done
I wonder if it's worth it

Agree with Fez .We all have been done at one time or another be it plates /Speeding ect. You just have to get on with it and keep your eyes open try to be where there are sports bikes around you travel at the right times Sunday lunch is asking for trouble .We have discussed attitude of cops in depth and the general feeling is most are not to bad. In your situation because the funding for Speed Cameras is finished the cops /Road safety groups ect have got together and invented this little wheeze of which any money collected in fines pays for the course which keeps retired cops in a nice easy number so thats the reason you got the fine and not a quick piece of advice.

    Good luck with the course...

its impossible to ride a blade at 30mph! though having a sharp eye helps..
