i pad

    Just got first i pad and managed to get it up and running (eventually). Any hints on bike related apps to download from you i pad buffs out there :)

    A week ago I'd have told you the Manx Radio app was a must. I'd still download it for tomorrow's racing. If there is any.

    Bike Baron made me laugh, until they updated it and it wouldn't work properly on the iPad 2.

    Prob was my son had registered his iPod a while a go on my e mail address and hadn't told me and registered a password which he had forgot. So when I put my e mail address in it said I already had registered and wouldn't let me verify my apple account. After about 45 mins with a very nice girl at apple help desk everything was reset. I also thought you just turned it on but didn't factor in the idiot teenage son factor :)

    Some of the bike mags are on there with Newstand apps (FastBikes, Superbike) and MCN Sport has recently been released but isn't retina so hold off on that if you have the new iPad. Visordown have launched a free iPhone app recently which looks really promising, so let's hope they do an iPad version as well.

    Also check out Flipboard, which has some auto+moto content in their catalogue but you can also add your own RSS feeds for Visordown and MCN which render really well in Flipboard.
