exhaust solinoid

    do i have to leave to exhaust solinoid in place on my rr5 when i put a race exhaust on?? or can i just unplug and dump to lose more weight?? we have a 2011 also and ive left in place on that to avoid lights is it same deal with older models??

    Same, guy on 1000rr.net sells a ten dollar board if you want to look him up, then you can remove it with no FI code :)

    I'm also up for getting one of these chips aswell, perhaps if we can get a few more interested we could sort a group out on them!!

    You can just unplug it and tuck the wire away if you like. Reset the little wheel to it's original position and no MIL (I think the 08 onwards actually resets automatically anyway, memory's a bit hazy though :))

    PDFruth is the bloke who sells them. They're already cheap enough though.

    He calls it the ESRM I think (Exhaust Servo Removal Module).

    The trouble is I read through that thread a couple of days ago, and when I got to the last few pages much to my disappointment he stopped making them about 3 months ago!!
