Sorry for the delay, guess they are fitted now but if not just so the pipe does not rotate then half a turn is what i went with if you do it to tight you get the silicon pushing through the holes in the clamps like a cheese grater
Thanks Jaime, I have most of them fitted, just tightened until it looks like the hose is slightly bulged either side of the clamp. Having a few issues with the fitment on a couple of the hoses though. It seems Samco think the 04-07 hoses are the same, but during fitment I seem to have found out that not only did they change the radiator in 2006, but also some of the hoses
Bugger thats a bit of a blow, especially when you have the bike stripped to fit them all have they shed any light on whether there should be a different kit for your bike etc, are they major hoses or out of the way ? Its anoying even if you put it back together while you wait for the hoses you will still have to drain and bleed the system again if you need the bike !! Thank god the weather is rubbish at the moment, might give you some time to sort it out
I'm gutted to be honest, it's just stopped me in my tracks. I'm at work at the moment, but I've got a picture of the offending hoses next to the originals, I'll post it up tonight when I get in so you can judge for yourself. I've been speaking to Arthur about it & he's seen the pic. The biggest two problems are: One hose from the water pump to a T-piece is about 20mm to short & has the incorrect angle. The other hose runs from under the tank & out the right-hand side of the bike into an ally pipe, then onto the filler neck. This hose is far too long. It's easier to explain with the pictures
I'm on my iPad and on 3G or I would post them for you mate, I'm a little shocked they list 4-7 as the same as you have found out they are NOT the same at all, the rads have never been the same..
Lol, thanks Arthur. I can't believe I'm the first RR6 or RR7 owner to order these hoses. I can only assume everyone before me was so desperate to fit them to the bike that they just modified them & never told Samco their mistake?
That's a real pisser to find out when you've got the bike stripped down Ray. I've got a different brand of silicone hose here that are listed for an 04-07 1000RR and when I had my bike well stripped down I was about to fit them but before I started I tried to suss which hose went where and soon realize that a few of the hoses simply went going to fit! I was a bit pissed with the situation at the time, but I'm glad that I didn't waste £20+ worth of coolant in the process! Oh I replied to your message about adapting the ZX10R mirrors to fit our bikes a bit earlier. If you can't make head or tail of what i've written let me know as I've had a few now
Well as promised here you go guys: As you can see from the pic, I seem to have a problem. Obviously the bottom left hose is far too long and would need cutting down, which in the grand scheme of things wouldn't be to much of a headache, but when you spend this kind of money on a kit you expect it to be a straight swop. Secondly, the hose in the top left is too short by around 20mm & it has the incorrect angle if you look at the original. And looking at the other two hoses they are slightly wrong to (bottom right one is slightly too short & top right one is slightly too long, but maybe that would cancel the problem out?). The only solution I can think people have used before, is to cut the long hose pretty much in half and use the discarded end for the hose in the top left of the picture as it seems to have a similar angle to the original hose? I think I'm gonna try and give Samco a call Monday morning and see what they say.

Yeah no problem Ray, if you can let me know how you get on with the issue with the hoses. As I'll be needing to overcome this issue myself before too long.
Gutted I really feel for you.... Still waiting on mine but hopefully there shouldn't be an issue for 2011 model ones. Like you say, I can't believe that it hasn't been brought up before..... Seems odd from such a quality make

OK, a bit of an update today. Racebikebitz have asked me to post off all my original hoses to them, which I did today. After seeing the picture I posted here, they agree that obviously some of the hoses are different and that this needs to be addressed. They have been in contact with Samco and have informed them that a change is needed for the 04-07 kit. Obviously until they have my hoses they won't know how many need changing. Fingers crossed we get a quick solution, but they did say worst case, Samco would need to create some brand new hoses which could take 2-3 weeks I've got to say Racebikebitz have been top class considering they are not the distributor I bought the kit from, but they have a very close & professional relationship with Samco.
As I said before mate your taking time and effort to sort it out the right way 10 out of 10 to you your a man after my own heart, never settle for anything less than perfection.... and when your done I may order one for mine....lol pmsl......haha....
Ok peeps, a quick update. Race Bike Bitz have sent my hoses onto Samco as some of them need making from scratch, but they have sent me a few hoses that are close to the originals to try and keep me on the road. Been told it will take a few weeks for the new hoses to be made, but they are high up on the priority list
