If you like the repsol that much (I not saying i don't like them btw) then why not do what's already been said, get a fairing kit and colour your wheels?

Surely it's not just the cost of the exhaust if you do decide to go for it- what about a pc, filter and then getting it set up? Got a mate with a 04, put a yoshi and pc on it with a downloaded map. Sounded awesome, took it to hm for a quick shifter and set up, first on the roller and guess what, the bike was actually putting out less than standard!

I may be talking shite, as haven't really entered into the heavy modding of bikes, always left them reasonably standard so far, but always been into tuning cars and an exhaust on its own often does one thing, noise with the car actually running rich or lean and losing power.

I do like that 07 plated HRC, but i understand you then need to sell yours, that Repsol does look nice though and although i know the 06-07 is more focused i actaully quiet like the more relaxed style of the RR5 for road riding...... on balance if you could get the wheel done as stated, i would go for the Repsol.

Anyone here had Chinese fairings put on before?

    what is the quality like?

This guy is a car dealer - and does nto want to px for another bike

    HONDA CBR 1000 cc CBR1000RR-5 1000rr Fireblade

    This ones sold.

    HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE

So yes the one i went to see was over priced!

Going this afternoon to get new tyres fitted - if i find nothing i will keep the bike and get the PC installed with a custom map..

I've got them on mine, but they are Rothmans not Repsol.
Mine haven't been fitted long enough to gauge how they stand up, plus I fitted a venture shield paint protection kit to it.
Crin's bike has had the chinese plastics fitted for well over a year now so he'd be the one to ask.

I took delivery of my chinese fairings yesterday and can quite honestly say I am pleased with what I have seen so far. I know the quality is below par, but for the money they look ok. The paint doesnt sem as thick as the honda items, but still ok. Dunno what they're like to fit.....gonna be at least next week before I get chamce to have a go.

Mine are great - no complaints whatsoever. Awesome finish and only one tiny stone chip in over 12 months.

Have you got yours on Answer? Pics?

Yeah I fitted the venture shield myself, I did it before fitting the panels the the bike. I made sure I had everything I needed to hand and took my time, it is a bit fiddley but it wasn't anywhere near as bad to fit as people made out it would be.
I bought the venture shield kit from eBay and paid £45 for the kit, but I think it should have been £99.
I bought my plastics through actuamarts same as the link for the repsol set i posted (after a bit of research they seem to have good reviews) and the fit was really quite good and the paint finish is also good. Don't get me wrong it's not a £1000+ dream machine paint finish but for what I paid I think it's excellent.
If in 12 - 18 months the finish starts to get a bit shabby I've got my old plastics that can be refitted or for £300 I can have a new set delivered to my door!!

I don't know but I bet you wouldn't get much if any change from £1500.

Well called up a dealer, will call another to re-confirm..

    Nose Cone: £240
    Mid Fairing: £140 (£280 for 2)
    Lower Fairings: £236 (£472 for 2)
    Rear Seat Fairing: £190

    £1182

I guess you could mix new with some that sometimes pop up on ebay...to save some money...

If you want a repsol don't settle for anything else because you'll always regret it. I would get mine advertised and buy a proper repsol with cash. You will get a much better deal than a part x
