So my mate owns a rr-5 and he is wanting to buy a beowolf slip on can for it but i have no knowledge of the can or the rr-5 exhaust system.

What will he need to do to swap the cans over ?, is it just the same as the rr-8 where you remove an oxygen sensor and disconnect the exhaust valve cable.

Im also guessing no power commander ect ect will be required either.

    Many thanks

Yes, except apparently the 05 doesn't have an O2 sensor (started in 06 I think).
Exhaust valve is under the tail fairing. You need to manually reposition the wheel to it's original position or will get a MIL.

AFAIK the beowulf can needs no modifications. I will be getting one for mine, hopefully before the northern nutters bike meet. Carbon can c/w link pipe @£220, at least they were last month. As far as quality, they have a very good reputation for build and warranty. British made by proper enthusiasts. Check out the web site fez. Cant link it cos i'm tapping on my phone.

Just a thought. if there is no o2 sensor on the 05 but there is 1 on the 06 models how do the aftermarket cans fit 04-07 models. this must mean both exhaust systems are the same does it not ?

on 06/07 the 02 sensor is in the in the header pipes albeit near the end behind footrest. taking the link pipe and can off will leave it in place so if the 04/05 has one it,ll be in same place.

That would make sense being in the header pipes. wish it was there on the 08's as its a right pain in the arse when screwing it into the can
