Help talk me out of it. For some reason, can't quite put my finger on it but I have an urge to trade the Blade in for an S1000RR. I love the Blade (the black paint is a sod) but having seen so many S1000's at the TT I've come home wanting one (in black). It makes no sense. I work for a Honda dealer so the obvious perks speak for themselves with owning the Blade, but deep down I do fancy the BM. At last I have received the Akra system so will get that fitted and hoping the change in noise will add to the excitement and help keep the urge at bay. I think that could be it, I think I'm thinking the BM is more exciting, don't know but I want one but it's a BM, but I love the Blade. Yours Confused.
Your not confused your just mad. go and see a shrink and soon your brain will be back to normal again
Get a grip man. Shame on you. Your letting yourself down, your family down, your country down and worst of all your are letting your 1000.co.uk buddies down. Go and have a long look in the mirror then slap yourself hard. If you still want the BM in the morning. I hear Beachy head is nice this time of year. Sent from my BlackBerry 9800 using Tapatalk
test rode the blade and BMW and went for the blade as it was better to ride, not revving the nuts to really get going. very nice bike and would be my second choice when it comes to sports bikes but as I said second choice
All i can offer, the BMtroubleU is a fantastic bike, look at what you get standard for a start, but IMO just to much to play with, you went to the IOM Mr B ask yourself what came out on top? Blade for Go BMW for show
Oh and don't be silly the blade is the best all rounder there is why would you want to by the BMW ? Apart from it being lovely
I test road the bm sure I was going to buy it, but found it quite clinical and not exciting at all - was the older model mind. But loved the blade straight away... Now Si is talking sense, that's more like it... See a few away and look better on the road, and sound bloody incredible.... Keep the blade or buy a duke That could be forgiven lol Ps the bm was awesome peice of machinery but just not for me
What to do is sit and and watch Hutchys five in a row at the TT especially the one on superstock bike and then tell us you still want a BMW 1000RR .... and then watch the TV for the wins the s1000rr has had at the TT...... the second one should not take you long
Oh no Si, that's me having new non blade thoughts again. I thought I had put this one till next year. Off to the mirror for a slapping for me then. Just tell me you didn't like it after your test ride, oh and the seat is really hard on a sore arse. Sent from my BlackBerry 9800 using Tapatalk
You see, Si sits on a sex toy, result, big grin. You sit on a sex toy, result, skinned peach. Matt, I just came back down the motorway beside a BMW. Really high, scaffolding all over the back covered in luggage and ammunition boxes by the look of it, ugly, shaft drive, spray on designer mud splatters and the geezer on it head to toe in Kevlar and nylon, all buckles and poppers and waterproofing agent, in brilliant sunshine. Not a good look at all. Yes it was a GS but the point is it starts with a sports bike and then it unravels bit by bit until before you know it.......you're Ewanf ucking McGregor. Is that what you want? 'cos that's what'll happen........
Ok, lets look at FACTS. My mate started out with an FZR600, then onto a ZX6R, followed by a fazer, then a tuono, now he got a GS complete with luggage. He's my age too, 44, so no excuse. Ya see? Its a downward spiral. Dont do it.
