Well at lunch time tomorrow I will be handed over the keys for a GSXF1250. Don't worry I'm not buying the beaut. It's my hire bike since the blackbird was written off last month. Cant wait to find out how good the 'erm' build quality is
They are awfull!! Had one last year on lone when my red blade got written off. Suspention is really saggy, lacks power and the riding position is horrid. They look ok though.
1 of my mates has a 650 version, that I have had a ride on. Comfy yes, but seriously wouldn't trust 1 in the bends. As you say the suspension really is saggy and really hindered any kind of riding, other than cruising, though which I suppose is what it's probably made for. After having the blackbird though, there shouldn't be so much of a compromise. It was comfy and at the same more than good enough for a giggle. Can't wait to get things sorted insurance wise and get another blackbird.
I'll take a picture of a guys at work and post it on here, I don't think he's ever cleaned it since he bought it 9 years ago
Well the so called gsxf1250 arrived today. Yea right, the only thing this bike had in common was the S badge. It didn't even have the same amount of cylinders lol. So who would want to take a guess as to what they decided was a like for like bike, considering it was a Honda Blackbird that I had?
As promised earlier in this thread. A well looked after Bandit He caught me taking this pic before I left work. He has admitted it's going to need some TLC when we are on evenings and nights this coming winter.
One of these big beasty's? Having bout half of everything the blackbird had, half the cyl's and more than half the cc's and I cant even calculate the difference in envy factor between the two!
Well chuffed my asre. It really is without doubt THE Worst bike I have even had the misfortune to ride. Fez the only thing that was descent about the bike is that it was black. Bad points: The looks, the seat, the suspension, the brakes, the no fairings, the high wide bars combined with the light weight n crap suspension, the clocks. And not to mention the shear ribbing I took from the mates at work. A gorilla on a monkey bike was about as nice of a comment I got.
It goes back this weekend hopefully. It won't be out of the garage until then. The guys face was a picture when I told him he could ' get that thing to fcuk ' when he pulled it out of the van. I just hope all gets sorted for when I go on my hols up north.
Like for like my arse I had my BMW 328i go in they said they had arranged a like for like ! A golf tdi ! Exactly the same ! Brilliant lol
