Over the counter - PollenShield (yellow and white box) Cetirizine Hydrochloride is the only thing that works for me mate
Doctors surgery - Steroid injection called Kenalog. Normally lasts a season. Some doctors are ok prescribing it an some aren't. Had this injection every year until a new doctor came onboard and he refuses to give it me. He put me onto Pollen Shield and its been brill!

Due to an ongoing sinus condition I have to take prescription anti histamines daily, which really upsets the blood donor people 3 times a year. But the upshot is that over the years my system has absorbed so much of them that if I get stung by a hornet it just bounces off. If I fall in stinging nettles it just tickles. I reckon a few more years of it and I'll be able to go to work with Megawatt in just a pair of Speedos.

Pain and pleasure principle I suppose.

Hayfever has been particularly bad this year.

    I use Tesco/Sainsbury/Boots/Superdrug's non-drowsy own make.

Contains 10mg of Loratadine, but I'm sure when the Doc used to prescribed it, it was more like 100mg.

Also tried an old wives tale over the last few days, A spoonful a day of locally produced honey.

Hey Sam, It all depends on what pollen you are allergic too, Grass, Tree or Flower. As they have slightly different seasons. I suffer with it too, I'm fine while on the bike but as soon as i stop that's it, Sneeze, cough, Itch.

Beer triggers mine. What a sick, cruel, tragic twist of fate that is.

Luckily I don’t get it , but Ling and my youngest son do. Someone told me about this and said it was brilliant. I got a couple from Lloyds Pharmacy for a about twelve quid each. i have seen them on fleabay much cheaper than that.
They also take Neoclarityn if needed but the old, stick the probes up the nozzle seems to do the trick most of the time.
