That's a great offer David especially given that I don't know how to get there? I will keep in touch as the weekend approaches.

You are assuming I do ! More or less, south on A1 till air quality makes you feel like you have altitute sickness, turn right onto the north circular heading towards hanger lane, should be on the right, swing round at next junction, job done. If I screw up we could always keep the other half's happy with a visit to ikea for scented tealights.
Tied to pm you my private mobile but your inbox is full mate.

It's close enough (Lambeth, right?), but probably the wrong direction to meet & up ride there.

    I'm gonna go M25, M40, A40, Norf Circ. & try & remember which bloody exit I need.

I'll have to be gone by lunch, as Mrs. V reliably informs me that my presence at my Nephew's 2nd birthday party is mandatory

LOL. I ride to enjoy it and that doesnt include getting wet or cold. As for Satuday night its a lottery if I will be fit to walk let alone ride sometimes. I dont do drinking and driving or risking it if I think I might still be over the top. If the forecast looks good I will do my best, but you know whats it like once you open one bottle, one thing leads to another. At least in this house it does.

Yeah, I hear ya. Same in this house as well. One beer leads to another, which leads to several more, then maybe a bottle of wine....

That's it mate, when it starts it starts. Thank god I don’t like spirits. I was given a bottle of that Potcheen moonshine for my twentieth birthday by the fella who lived next door. He span the lid off, tipped a bit in and lit it to see what colour it burned, said that it was ok and we can drink it, first slug was like fire water, second slug was not so bad, third slug and the world was a much nicer place. An hour later my now ex wife and his wife said you are going to have to stop drinking that shit because we can’t understand either of you, you’re just growling at each other. I thought we had moved onto wine but didn’t realise he was mixing it with the wine. Long story cut short. My wife goes home and his wife goes to bed. My wife wakes up to see my legs poking into the bedroom from the landing, one sock on and one bare foot. She gets up to find me with covered in mud and out cold. Steps over me and goes into the bathroom to find a car wheel and tyre in the bath and her tooth brush covered in sick, a line of mud down the stairs and the front door wide open. God knows where I had been, or how I got covered in mud as it was May and hadn’t rained in weeks. Next day I have never felt so ill and started drinking water not realising that it was the worst think I could do, as it just gets you pissed again. I lost three days of my life with no personal recall of what happened on that stuff. That was thirty years ago. With the exception of the odd occasion that was my last dance with spirits. You have now been warned about that stuff.

What time are you meeting up and do we have any way of recognising to forum guys? I'm coming down with a mate and possibly meeting Freedom on the way, weather permitting?

I'm sure we'll work it out. I'll wear my 1000rr t-shirt to be nice & subtle. I'll be on one of the only candy red 08 blade's with 1000rr stickers on the tail unit.

I'll keep an eye out for the 1000rr.co.uk stickers, t-shirts etc. If you see a dodgy guy in white/black/red leathers & helmet hanging around your bikes it might be me.

I am still up for this. However, forecast is not looking good and I couldn’t fight my way out of a wet paper bag at the moment. Looking on the bright side it’s still a couple of days away so I hope to be fit and the weather forecasters have got it all wrong.

Carl, what sort of time are you planning on going?
