We've got a Greengage tree in the garden and every year it's full of White Fly and drops sticky stuff every bloody where and this attracts squadrons of house flys. Hateful things. Tonight I'm going to snow foam the damn thing to see if I can dissolve the slime. If the snow foam kills it, it'll give me an excuse to cut it down. Either way it'll make a great Christmas card.

Best thing for flies and wasps is a can of easy-start and a lighter, you can substitute hair spray for easy-start but it's not as spectacular. Stores bloke at an old motor cycle dealers showed me this trick.
