An extra thought ladies and gentlemen, as previously mentioned I was doing a cycling event today round Northumberland, the roads were terrible with gravel all over from Thursday's flood, I know you're not coming this far north but hartside area could be the same take care!

Now i have make a decision,I'm having a new back tyre fitted on Thursday because the one that's on is cooked. The roads up at Hawes could possibly be a bit muddy and shitty from all this rain.Hummmmmmmm.Is it worth the risk.???? Bloody weather.:(

Why not just come, Ash. At the end of the day if it's looking crap and the roads are in a sh*t state there's nothing to stop you from turning around and bimbling home. That's what I'll be doing :)

Right, I'm metaphorically tucking in your shirts ( sorry Ash), spitting on me hanky and rubbing your chops, warning you to look left, right, then left again, wrapping some change in a ten bob note and telling you not to talk to strangers. Especially ones called Michael on HRC's. Enjoy yourselves but behave yourselves and be careful.

Have you all got my number if you want to come home early?

Stop bitching about ya'all. IT's ON. Might get a bit wet but the sunshine and , ahem, 30mph breeze will sort that in 10 mins. It WILL be warm enough. I'm heading out come what may.

I'll be there don't you worry, it'll take more than an early morning drizzle spell to keep the merseyside massive at bay .. :D

I think its truth time Fez! I have just packed my back pack with waterproofs and spare gloves . Just got up the BBC weather for Hawes and in general its raining from 10 until about 4 and quite cold. So two options here (1) We go for it and have a misrable time and no one talks to each other because its too wet to stop or we settle down wind our necks in a tadge and have a rolling agreement of a meet each Sunday until we get a nice day and we can sit out relax and have the crack and enjoy some fast roads. Me if the bulk of the dudes are in i will be there if not still happy to put it back and have a better day what a bastard!

Um....since this could well turn out to be quite a gathering, and going by the humour in the thread itself, a right bloody good giggle, shouldn't it have a proper name? Summat like 'norvern monkeys malarky' or whatever? Or should I not start another bottle of wine?

    Right here's me.
First of all, what a Fcukin day I've had putting this new substation on line. 17hr days ain't my cup of tea.
Anyway to the question in hand.
Yes we are expecting rain tomorrow morning on the West coast.
A lot of effort has gone into this, the way I see it if we spew it then let it be so, but i wont be the one to make that decision.
I'm happy to run with the plans we have got.
If Giv and everyone else from Cheshire Wirral are coming then I will meet them as planned.
I reckon we will be met by the odd shower and the odd tricky road surface. But what the hell. We could be planning this and rearranging it from now to the end of our days.
IMO We take that little extra care, allow a little more time and enjoy the point of this run. To meet up fellow 1000rr members.
    so that's my tuppence worth.
For those that decide to come? see you tomorrow in Hawes between twelve and half past. For those that don't? See you on the next one ;)

It could still change. I'm still up for it, and still good to meet you giv as arranged. If its truly pissing down big stylie at Hawes, then fez, will you txt me? If its pouring down here when I get up ( around 7am) then I'll give it a miss, until then I'm still going.

Right then lets just bloody go for it and have some fun even if that means getting wet. for sure it might mean a couple of people maybe dont come but we should still get a good turn out.

Also this will not be the end of it as im sure everybody will want to do it again in a few weeks time when a nice sunday comes around
