Just got a can of Wurth Chain Wax. Hopefully better than the Dry Lube I was using and will stop the surface rust a bit better. Seems good so far.

i used the wurth dry chain lube and my chain rusted badly, now use wurth chain cleaner and apply a light gear oil (castrol) with a cloth.
its a bit fiddly but my chain is like new

Castrol chain lube.. Not the wax. Used to use the wax but lubes much better. 16000 kms incl a couple trackdays and chains still in brilliant shape

Clean using PJ1 Super Clean, Dry and then PJ1 Chain Lube. My experience is Clean Clean oh did I mention Clean! lol.
I haven't found a wonder lube, but I know what I like etc. Scottoiler never appealed due to their nature! Also, gets me to visually and physically check my chain every time i clean it!
I did buy some degreaser when i was in Italy last week, and gonna try it Sunday! Was, bloody cheap, but from using it before on an Air Con System on a coach! It was simply stunning!
Will update, and while I'm at it, I will do some photo's and do a before and after to compare!

Not knocking the scotty, in fact my dad, swears by them. It just isn't for me! We all have our own preferences, OP asked what we prefer. Be nice to hear some more choices too.

I bought some mega expensive 'Profi Dry Lube' from Hein Gericke after the guy recommended it. I ride in all weathers and the chain rusted to a piece of turd colour within a few days. So what I learned from that was that dry lube is no good if you ride in the wet.

What I've found good in the past is the wax based lubes. Silkolene Wax was good as was the Muc Off Wax. Currently using Wurth wax. Leaves a nice clean looking chain and minimal fling.

PS I'd really recommend one of these. I got my turd coloured chain looking brand new again. Less than a tenner on the bay.
