Absinthe is a drink that at first attempt you love. Right up to the point where you wake up with your head like an elephant, and a p*ss stained bed. Not that I'd know that.
To be honest, it's the same buzz as Pernod. I've not done the poured burning over sugar thing, but as they don't make it with the Wormwood any more, it's mystique is all but gone. Ooh! My boss is a Scotch nut. He loves single malts and the more obscure the better. It's well known in the "Biz" and favours a usually repaid by the exchanging of said beverages. Of course, I do favours too, so occasionally they come my way as well. I'm more a sampler of whiskey myself, much to his disgust, especially as I keep going back to Jack Daniels and have developed a taste for Jamesons. Sometimes we get a better thank you though. Call me a light weight.....but.....I was still feeling like shit and Avitar was on and I wanted to actually see it right to the end without falling asleep.... so only 3 of those 25ml French bottles of beer for me and I didn’t even finish the last one. . L on the other hand opened the red and got stuck in. What happened? I feel asleep in the middle, woke up to find L asleep. So we still haven’t seen it all. Bugger. Had a flip thorough the channels and found Spartacus blood and sand just started, now that’s my kind of film....plenty of blood and guts with the added benefit of fit women with no clothes on.. Oh no, got to be kidding me.......Suzi our old cat just went passed looking me right in the eye dragging her arse along the wooden floor leaving a shity skid mark as she went. Tuesday our other whippersnapper cat just sat and watched the whole scene, looked at Suzi, then me, then turned a wandered off. Brilliant now I got to wipe her backside and clean the floor.
