Hi gents, my rear seat pad flew off the bike at ummm high speed today. It was locked in position properly but since I have had it it never seemed to sit correctly and it wobbled. So after recovering it (my mate saw where it went as it bounced off his helmet) I put it back on bit scuffed and a small hole in it though. When we stopped a local biker spot I asked a guy who was on a 600rr if I could try his rear seat on my bike and it fitted perfectly so compared the seats and noticed that the 2 bracket on the underside of the seat on the nuts for the grab strap were missing off my seat !! Anyone know where I can get hold of some of these or better still anyone got a seat they not using so I can copy these brackets ???
Sounds like your mate was quite lucky, is it just the bracket you need or the whole seat? A friend did have a seat that was all torn up, I can see if he still has it
One or two people have had these type of problems, usually after market ones? Avoid Chinese copies and go for genuine parts. They seem to stick around a little longer?
It is just the 2 brackets that are at the front of the seat they seccure on the same holes as the hand strap. I am willing to pay for them too. Would be a great help if you could find out cheers buddy
