All around Leytonn (possibly the whole of east), they have changed the permits parking times from 9am - 4pm to 8am - 1pm and 3pm - 9pm. Monday to Sunday

Visitor permits are not allowed any more.

You have to call up and nominate a car that will be visiting you and they will be issued a temporary permit..

I personally think this is a right piss take!

The whole thing is IMO! Makes me laugh all these countries set a bid to win the 2012 games and with the state of global finance seemed easy for all the other countries that thought shite do we want to win the games, hell no stick in a naff proposal so we loose and let the UK win it! Suckers!

The real people who pay for the games are those of us that have no interest in it at all....

Well fingers crossed for us all (that have no interest) that the sun comes out and we can all get out for two weeks and rip up some roads!!! Then I may just love the Olympics like I love football when it keeps people off the road...

Starting to think I should have let my place out and gone abroad for a few weeks! Not only have we got the Zil lanes, blocked streets coming onto them, parking restrictions, no useable buses, tubes & trains that are going to take 30-45 minutes to get on, but get this - I got a letter from the council today saying that because of the restrictions they're going to have to start doing the bin collections from 5am!!

Those dumpster-emptying bin wagons make an almighty racket! It's bad enough that they do them at 7.20am usually. At least if I'll be getting woken at 5am I'll be able to get into work on the tube!

Yes - this feckin' monstrosity that's visible for miles...!

It's about 4 times bigger than the plans they showed 5-6 years ago. And what a bargain at £23m!

It's the Orbit Tower. Basically a glorified viewing platform. A bargain at 'only' £15 to go up it.

Would have been a lot better if it had have been like Nemesis or similar!

Yep - and I think both infringements incur penalty fines of £130 so it's not as if one is cheaper than the other and you can save a bit of dosh!

Presumably, they'll suspend the bus lane but not seen any mention of that being mooted anywhere.
