World looks a bit better today than Monday! Picked up a nice piece today. 2010 model + ABS, and a few bits of bling the previous owner spent out on. HRC clour scheme and low miles, pick it up next weekend, so the pain is healed Poor sales guy was biggin up the condition of the bike and the first owners labour of love etc etc. and all the time I know the bike has had its best days and the poor thing is about to go into a life of hard commuting and will never look as good again. Tried the 2012 demo bike, nice face and nice dash, but not worth 4K more IMHO, even with the trick suspension, plus I hate cleaning wheels, and they look a real pain in the arse to keep clean. Pictures to follow......
Welcome dude, sorry to here some scums knicked your bike, glad you replaced it. Nothing wrong with using a blade for commuting, I have a 929 I use all year round, my 10 plate has over 10k of fun on it. Just down the road from you in Rochester (near Jimbo) always out do give us a shout. Be awesome if you make make next weekends ride out, see you at the oakdene?
Nice one Dave thanks, if you are trolling up and down the A2 all year, then would have seen you no doubt, mine was a black RR6 private plate, what time at the Oakdene?
Have a look here and you don't have to clean the wheels like you used to clean them.... CarbonForBikes
works for me.... There will be only a little bit of graphite dust on the wheel which you can remove with a dry paper...etc. It was installed after about 2000 miles on the clock and I tried to clean off the dirt etc. from the chain before installing the parts. Otherwise you don't have to do anything.
Hi mate gutted that your bike went but glad to see you've found a suitable replacement. Welcome to the site. Ken Devil? Is there an iPad version of that novel on your swingarm?
Haaaaaaaaaaa, good point ! I tried to remove all of them but unfortunately I failed ! To much effort and it's like burned into the swingarm. Maybe I will give it another try !
The one in the middle looks alarmingly like an instruction for putting equal pressure on either side of a nipple during a booby squeeze. Good advice in any context.
Thanks mate...just found on their website approx 6K KMs per block, so thats about 6 blocks a year at 35Euro a pop...being a tight fooker I'll stick with chain lube and degrease it when they fit new tyres so the weights stick
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I will let you know how long does it last. Some people wrote that they could drive 15k with one block and still driving.
Can't make the rideout tomorrow, have had to work today, so cannot pick it up until tomorrow. Next time guys....thanks
