Yeah it was flipaplate.com, but they seem to have gone up in price since I bought mine, although it has spent 2 years on my old bike ;)

    Yesterday Morning:
Dawn raid including breakfast at Loomies, then hightailed it home before the idiots hit the road.

    Yesterday afternoon:
Stripped-out the Airbox, completely removed all the flapper valve gubbins then gave her a couple of laps of my local test track (the induction noise is even better now ....superb) Ahead of a Custom remap (being picked-up tomorrow) to suit.

    Re flapper valve:
I had previously cable-tied the valve open (as per flapper valve mod) then had her custom mapped a good few years ago...she pulled 130.2bhp and had very strong mid-range and top-end (for a 929) according to the Dyno operator.

It will be interesting to see how she performs now, As the last time she was on the rollers was not long after I got her (So I'd guess it was about 10 years ago, I'd have to have a look on my old graph to check the date)

    Same Dyno btw.

Yesterday I cleaned my front brake calipers and pistons, scrubbed the discs, and changed the brake pads... Fluid level was very high so used a straw to remove fluid to the upper level.

Also took off right fairing to open the radiator cap to bleed the cooling system... Not sure anything really beneficial took place with that whole exercise...

After seeing the amount of crap that was stuck in between the pads I think I will clean mine out once every couple months now...

    Bump :D
    Today's the day

The old girl is on the rollers today, tweaking the custom map to suit latest airbox mods.
First time in about 10 years, last time she put out 130.2bhp.

Interesting to see what she makes today, on the same dyno...I'm not expecting any gains tbh but it was worth doing for the induction noise alone :D

She "feels" as strong as always, still pulls to the limiter in top no sweat...still wheelies off the throttle in 3rd.

    we'll see.

Finally got round to fitting the rear brake reservoir that Bats sold me.

    Thanks Bats :D

Firstly had it powder coated in Black, then had to file off the black coating around the piece that goes into the master cylinder as it was to tight a fit :)

Fitted an Evo-Tech tail tidy... nicely reduces the size of the rear end, and has allowed me to fit a (slightly) smaller plate without leaving acres of boring black plastic on show.

Not too keen on the remaining black plastic trim that has to stay in place at the end of the exhaust (under the tail light)...... so swings & roundabouts.

If you want to remove it along with the heat shield, I've got some sticky-back heatproof material with a template mate?

Well i removed the intake flaps last week ... Managed to crack the screen when i was refitting the front cowl ... it must have been cracked or chipped already as it broke all to easily!

Is it worth paying for a 'proper' name (like my last screen) at around ~£70 or will an ebay one do at £15-40?

Wow, that'll be a first, the screen giving up before the cowl...... Normally those cowls go first. If you need a stock smoked screen I have one you can have for buttons.

I still had my stock screen so it's back on just now ... As i paid ~£70 for a Zero Gravity screen i just wasn't sure it was worth paying that again!

Mt front cowl is peppered with cracks and chips ....

Plugged the vacuum pipe as the flapper valve mod. I can't beleive how simple this is. Just gotta take it out for a test ride.
