Ok, Ive just got back in from my first ride with the Nexx XR1.R Carbon. I found it the same as alexg56, very light, excellent visibility and big improvement over my old shoei, there was no buffeting at high speed. Initial views is that it was a top purchase.

weird it says the dark visor is not road legal? i thought during the day dark was ok..its just at night?
The Helmet Place - Visor and Helmet Law and Regulations Visor Law Unlike helmets wearing a visor or goggles isn't a legal requirment but as soon as you use one a whole new bunch of rules apply to you. Legally 1) It must be an approved visor / goggle It'll either have a BS4110 mark or the new EC Regulation 22 type 05 mark. 2) A 50% tint is the darkest you're allowed by law and even then it will be marked "for daylight use only". Dark, mirrored etc. visors are illegal, wear sunglasses instead. Of course I'll only be using the 80% dark tint on track days.

Ye, mine came with the pin lock visor. I am still waiting on the dark visor to be delivered though. Urban Rider did say that Nexx could be 'painfully slow' to deliver stuff.

I wanted to try one before I bought it and I'm glad I did as I had to go a size up from normal, so I took a trip the nearest stockist in London NEXX XR1R CARBON HELMET - WHITE / RED - FREE UK delivery - Urban Rider London and they did a price match so I bought it there and then. I'm still waiting on the dark visor though. Andrew at Urban Rider is quick to answer emails of any questions I had and is really helpful.

Visor was suposed to be delivered today but seeing as I was at work it will now be delivered on Thursday, when I will also be at work. They won't leave it at the depot for me to pick up as they have to try to deliver it twice. Morons!
The only thing putting me off this lid is the dark visor..I wanted a road legal tint..and one is not made!
came home for weekend from working away, no visor! was about to kick off via email when missus tells me theirs a package for you, tidied away. always find the bills easy enough. hope to try out the new visor tomorrow
