Well it's now 1800 and I've just got in after leaving home at 1100. I went from Abingdon via the scenic route to Loomies for a brew then headed out past Winchester, Romsey, Salisbury, Tidworth and eventually stopped at Blade Honda in Swindon where a Monster was consumed, a 2012 Fireblade was considered (£5000 down & £131 a month, 0% finance) and randomly bumped into Guy. Returned to Abingdon via another scenic route & H-cafe (which was shut by then :roll eyes:).

I'm now sitting with a glass of Rose feeling quite chuffed with myself after the best days rid in I've had this year and 255 miles covered. The only thing left to do is to de-gunge the bike as she's worked hard today and I'm bolloxed, Ill sleep well tonight!

The helmet has more dead insects than a bad horror movie on it, that visor was only fitted yesterday and had it's first outing today!

Mrs V left me to sleep on the sofa all night. Woke up at 6am after having the best night sleep I've had in ages.

Went to the Silverstone Claasic & bumped in to Ken. Well, I was stumbling around with a hangover & Ken spotted me. Quick 2 minute chat, then he was whisked off for VIP hospitality

After a whole July of birthday's, my wifes 4Oth, my friends birthdays, my 39th and loads of other excuses to get hammered (most of which with Jimbo) after i finsh this bottle I'm signing off from wine a clock for a while to let my body and neighbours recover.

I've just been catching up on this thread after being away all weekend. Business trip, company credit card. There just isn't enough Guinness in the world.

Anyway, what do I find when I get back? Domestics, yelled threats across the ether, fire hazards, counselling sessions and suggestive fruit photographs.

How the fcuk did a virtual pub turn into a real one so quickly!?!

No wonder Blaggers wanted to go out to another pub thread last night. This one's getting decidedly pikey.

29.5 in the Fens just now, beer and glasses chilling in the freezer, assuming L hasn’t melted on the rattler out of London she is going to appreciate a very cold one when she get in. I was contemplating going for a ride but can’t face trying to get my leathers on. We moan when it’s cold and raining and moan when it not. Better put a few bottles on ice.

32 degrees in the office when I left just now so I was truly decadent and had the roof down and the climate control on minimum and full blast. The house is currently 23 degrees so I might take a beer out to the garage.

Ahh ha the fun of a convertible, I am expecting L to come back any minute "dollying" it with the top down. Some how can’t see you "dollying" in the MX, more like a sweaty red faced midlife crisis grinning old man.

I've been on the pop in Weymouth since lunch time. This is what comes of half days in work and sunshine.

Unlike your flash SLK my MX5 doesn't have 'airscarf', but it does have 'skirtscarf' so it's a comfort choice primarily.

Sounds nice, I'm off the booze at the mo. It's a weight loss thing.

Always have a rehearsed response mate. Many years ago a lowlife with whom I worked had picked up a girl in a nightclub and was driving her out to the country for a bit of extra marital experimentation, when he put his car into a field and got stuck. Being a bloke of a certain kind, he did the deed anyway and waited until morning to go and find a tractor to drag him out of the mud.

When he got home, his poor wife yanked open the door and opened her mouth to tear him off one and he just flew at her. "What kind of a wife won't come looking for her poor husband when he doesn't get home on time. Anything could have happened to him for all she cared, sleeping like a baby when he could be bleeding to death in a ditch somewhere!"

Bastard got away with it too.

Just got in from Weymouth. By the way, there are no taxis from Wool train station on a Thursday night at 1140 so you have to walk the 3 miles to Bovington.

I have to say for the extra cost the 'airscarf' is a boon, enabling L to get her top down as often as she can. I am all for her getting her top off, whatever the weather. Said with a grin like a wnaking china man.
