you lot can stop crying about the weather like you have been for the last god knows how long (was getting to me in the end i'll admit) and get out on the bikes.... so whos making the most of this no doubt very short heatwave....??? what plans you got? i for one have told lisa she wont see see me after 7am and before 6pm on sunday for our little ride out..as i'll be out on the bike all day... am riding to work tomorrow then going out straight after down the coast for a wed night right maybe to Rye or Brighton, and might try and squeeze a cheeky ride in on saturday... come on fellas, got to make the most of it now!! no excuses.....
Was busy all weekend, so no bike action for me (other than sat in the garage fitting a new Evo-Tech tail tidy). Have ridden to work today (and yesterday) which is the first time all year that I have managed 2 days in a row...... if it stays nice for the weekend I plan to ride the Chepstow-Abergavenny route that a forum member recommended.
Yep - i didnt get out either this weekend - mainly as i burnt my tokens the weekend before lol but will be making the most of it now.... we all mope around when the weather is shite - so when its good, the chores can do one!!
the wife and kids are down south for a few days, I used the blade last night after work to see them for a few hours and hoping to go out Thurs Evening with a mate on his R1 over to mid wales. should be fun
You can't get better conditions than this up north, red hot, super sticky and no sun to blind you. It's a super fast ride up to Hawes for me tonight and won't be back this side of 11pm ......... Yeeeeee Haaaaaa!!!!
Putting some miles on the old girl.Out last Sunday maybe an hour or so tonight if anyones out and defo out tomorrow night(oakdene cafe).Sunday out all day with you lot.So I'm doing my bit.
oh yes im still going, its going to be cloudy but still very warm so as already said perfect conditions, what time are you going to be there
I managed a couple of hours out on the bike today. At last this weather has turned descent enough for a decent ride out without worrying if I was going to get soaked. I've got 2 weeks off just now, and I plan on doing a lot of miles on the bikes in that time. If the weathers decent enough up North, then I'm off to Skye and surrounding. If not then I'm heading down South, to head to Alton Towers, and Silverstone for the WSBK races. Can't wait. WOOP WOOP!!!!
Fingers crossed for ya mate!!! Know how long you have been waiting for this break... Let me know what dates your about down this end, I'll pop up if possible!
A quick 120 mile round trip to Brands for BSB on Sunday and hopefully 'H's' cafe and the Adilade tomrrow as my mate tries to get some miles on his Panigale prior to a trip to the 'Ring'.
Im also setting off at 5.30 so i expect to make it around 6.45. Its going to be very busy i think. cant wait
made the most of yesterday afternoon's glorious, yes glorious weather!! left work early at 5pm and headed out of town to meet the boys at ebbsfleet at 6pm and strangely the only ones there, got moved on by the police 5 mins later (guessing all the others had), headed through the bumpy b roads towards the oakdene and quickly skirted that as it was busy and traffic was major, not to mention some poor bloke had been knocked off his bike so there were quite a lot of police about also... picked up seven mile lane, then headed towards Maidstone, a20, then onto Canterbury to H's for a cuppa and look at the bikes, there must have been 200 there last night, ten minutes later we were bored, headed to Hythe and followed the coast to camber where dusk was just setting in, put some demons to bed (this is where i wounded the blade at night not being able to see a thing!!) and gave it large through the camber road! where we stopped in rye for some fish and chips... Headed out of Rye on the canal road (didn’t see Megawatt) in pitch black but guided by the lads up front with their Hids - back up through the lanes to Yalding where we intended to stop for a coffee but the machine thing at the station was broke!! so we went our separate ways and i rolled on the drive at 11.30pm - proper decent Wednesday ride out!! Ebbsfleet International, United Kingdom to Wrotham, Kent, UK - Google Maps
And my bike is pissing coolant and almost overheated on the way home Tuesday... Trains for me, so I am very jelly!!! Glad you are all enjoying the weather though!!
Had a cracking ride into work this morning Also i'm taking my lovely lady to Paignton bike nite tonite on the bike......Happy days Jay
