Hi everyone i have a cbr1000rr6 mostly track and a odd blast on road, Just had my forks back from brooks suspension k-tech springs and a rebuild, upon fitting the tubes i only have the 04 manual to go on and cant find the info on line. Could you have a look or if anyone has come across this how much is your fork leg through the top bridge. The manual says let the gold top cap come through then sit the silver lip flush with the top bridge. Is everyones like this thanks Lee
Same as my rr5, and usually 04_07 are same I think? But its all a matter of preference. You might want to drop the yokes thru 5mm or so, ie have 5mm more fork showing. 1. Quicker turn in. 2. More wrist ache. 3. Less straight line stability, no prob with the HESD. 4. Looks cool.
Cheers i thought it would be same as 04-05 to be honest as forks everything is except colour cheers thanks Lee
Most feedback from racers is they like to run flat, OEM geom seems very good, each to his/her own but I run my Ohlins forks with the same geom as flat, Im told they can wash the front (if you have the balls of a racer to push that hard) if you run them anything other than flat..
Thats what i wanted to hear thanks i have been searching and searching shall i drop um through 3mm etc but gonna leave um as they should be and give them a try got a 3000 mile euro trip before any more trackdays so a road trip wont be a testing ground lol thanks again
I've run it high, low, you name it, in the end I'm back to stock....lol BUT each to there own and it's a very personal preference..
Yeah i suppose diffrent for everybody ill run as recommended stock if i dont like it ill take them up a mm or so inbetween sessions thanks for answering
