Well today’s the day. Its Ling's turn to go under the laser this afternoon. She says she if fine about it but as she being a bit snappy I am assuming she is beginning to stress out slightly but just won’t admit it. Poor lamb to the slaughter.

I am also having another check up while we are there as I have slight imperforations and blurring effect on the lens in my left eye that was detected last month. If it’s no better they might have to do that one again. gulp gulp. I can’t say I have really noticed it and am loving not wearing bins for anything other than reading a book or newspaper etc.

I will try and update later unless I am busy playing nursy nursy.

My wife had laser eye surgery a few years ago, she loves the final effect but hated the procedure.

My worry is that once she sees what an ugly bugger you are, you'll be out on your arse.

All done and dusted just got back and she has gone for a little nap.

My check up was better than expected, my eyes are still healing, I keep forgetting it was only eight weeks ago so still work in progress. Left one is not quite as good as the right but they are saying it is healing slower but it’s still improving and hopefully will catch up. Right one is a prefect 0. Left is 0.025 so hardly any difference. No action needed for now and next check up in 3 months.

Now whilst she is asleep I had better pack a bag, just in case.

MrsB keeps on at me about having my eyes corrected. I'm a bit of a coward on the QT, I think the worst thing I could have done was search YouTube, but never say never, I have started to wear contacts when in the bike, so I certainly know the benifits of riding glassed free.

Speedy recovery Ling, pass me some of you courage please.

Lucky Ling. I have astigmatism, so it's a no go for me.

Baby V wears glasses as well. Nearly broke my heart when he asked for competitively priced laser eye surgery (he repeats adverts parrot fashion) for his 6th birthday present.

I had a bad astigmatism which has been corrected with Lasik surgery, I was right on the limit and the surgeon was surprised how well it went.

Ling’s eyes have been amazing. She had no pain at all on Friday evening. Nothing just a very slight dry eyes kind of soreness. No pain killers. Even stayed up watching the Olympics opening ceremony all be it with her Okley’s on. (Lucky cow. I was in bloody agony the first night I had mine done.) We went back yesterday for her follow up appointment, 20/20 already and everything as it should be. Yesterday she was in a great mood bobbing around the kitchen with her sunnies on cooking and demanding a glass of wine.
Just in case you are wondering. I am staying. Whilst she says she thought she went to bed with Spartacus but woke up with Sponge Bob, I will do just fine. phew.

Vino. Both Ling and I had astigmatism and it wasn’t a problem with Ultralase as far as I know it was also corrected during the surgery. If you interested you should give them a call and ask. Really sorry to hear about the little fella mate, anything to do with kids always pulls at the heart strings.

I have to say not wearing glasses for me has been life changing, I doubt Ling will get the same wow factor as she wore contacts Monday to Friday anyway.

I'm glad the luscious Ling came through it okay and that you're not having to sell your raddled arse under a railway bridge in Peterborough. Perhaps it was the decades of self abuse that contributed to your reaction to the op whereas Lings good works of taking care of the retarded has meant that the gods have looked down favourably on her.

Either way, I'm glad she's on the up and back to her borderline alcoholic self. You could do better and buy her some less chavvy shades mind.
