I thought the flappers were closed by default and you had to remove them??

Not just plug the vacuum line.

I could very well be talking BOLLOCKS tho'!

How easy it then to remove the stock tubes and replace with race? Do you just have to plug vacuum hose? Want to get rid of big black plastic cylinder at front too that's part of it all.

No mate, if you look up the front of the bike above the radiator you can see its open when stood.
You can remove the lot or just plug the pipe.

Well I had a new sportsmart fitted to the front yesterday to match the rear I had about about 800 miles ago, what can I tell you- all I can say is it's such a vast improvement over them crap qualifiers! The difference is unbelievable. It steers true as a dye and just makes the whole ride so much more planted, couldn't be happier oh also fitted the Bridgeport angle valve.

My brake have been shite for a while....

So went over dads workshop today, changed the pads and fluid, also fixed my clip on which had been wiggling around on the last few ride outs (quite unsettling I can assure you) turned out to be a snapped pin that give support over the Alan bolts so drilled the broken bit out and punched rest in. Bit of a temp job but all good.

Just rode back and can't believe how much better my brakes are, totally rock solid with no juddering or pulsing as coming to a stop.

    Well pleased

Just got back from a ride on which all my lights have stopped working exempt the side lights and neutral light, therefore the rest of the day will be spent trying to repair them!

Got to get my trackbike back together for RAF Valley in a couple of weeks - fingers crossed it still starts...

Need to read about this flapper mod for the 08+ bikes. Is there a link to a 'here is how you do it in 10 simple steps etc.'

First test drive with GoPro2 - Part I - Motorway - long Version.
Some Infos , not to get bored:
    - from 7:30min ( motorway )
    - from 11:30min and from 13:25min ( a bit faster )
    - from 14:20min to 18:30min ( cut out, a VW driver blocks the street )
    - from 20:40min and 26:00min ( a bit faster )
    - from 28:00 friendly people on the left side...

To much traffic on that day.
Part II - only country-streets - will follow.

The GoPro, look real quality Mate. Fancy one my self, not for video as such more like random shots.
I'd swap your KMPH to MPH though mate, people could see that and get the wrong end of the stick?
