    Watched the opening ceremony in 3D last night and was well impressed. a real visual treat, Well done Danny Boyle, could have been a car crash but thoroughly enjoyed it, very original and eccentric, but macca was a bit 'off'.

    I have to confess that I sat down to watch it full of scepticism but I thought it was a triumph. Well done that man Boyle. I had to chuckle at The Queen, mind. She look bored as f*ck :D

    Really enjoyed most of it, especially James Bond with the Queen. The French translation before the English pi$$ed me off and FFS why do they keep wheeling McCartney out???

    Mmmm. I am going to have to sit on the fence here seeing that I seem to have a foot in both camps. I have to say I thought last night was pretty poor to start with and unless you are British I don’t think you would know what was going on. But it then got better and better as the evening went on. We have tickets to the closing ceremony and if it starts slow but ends last night I think we will be happy bunnies. Note sure the Queen was that enamoured with and looked proper bored.

    Thought the same, Looked proper hacked off - although got to remember the poor old girl is about 90 and it was 1am when it finished!

    Was a good sport about the bond bit though, thought that was cool as fuck!

    I watched the whole lot last night and thought it was fantastic....very proud to be British.

    Was enjoying the Road cycling (caught the last 30mins)...the mens beach Volley is on now....but all I can think of is the homoscene in Top Gun

    I'm flicking between Archery and women's handball at the moment
