Got a letter Thursday from MIB Motor Insurance Bureau. These guys hold your insurance details that the police use through the Motor Insurance Database. My bike reg is not on the database. If I do nothing I will get fined.
F*cking hell! I've had bike police sitting beside my bike at Oakdene cafe.If they done a pnt check on it there n then,it would have flagged up as not insured!
Rang Carole Nash Thursday,Friday and now today cos it still isnt on their database. This time I've told em sort it cos if my bike is impounded it will either get damaged or go walkies. And I'm not having a claim put on my insurance through their incompetence.
askMID Check your reg it's free.

That nearly happened to a woman on the telly, but the police are likely to ring your insurers if they think your genuine. So always know who your insurance is with or carry details just in case.

We will see by Wednesday. It takes 48hrs to update.
The guy at Carole Nash did say it sometimes happens.Policy number and their call centre number is on my phone just in case I get tugged.

if that's So why is it the person who owns the bike who may get fined? not the insurance company you have insurance with ?

I feel a scam coming on.
Maybe I could impound it myself and give them a hefty bill for not putting it on the DB.Any bent traffic cops on here I'll split it 50/50....Insurance sorted for next year.

It's funny as mine hasn't been insured for about 9 months due to lack of use but I haven't had a letter, their system must be working really well !
