Basically should i do it as i have no plans to change change the exhaust or to map it. Has anyone else done it and what difference did it make.
Not to drill IMO, start upsetting back pressures etc? have you done the flap on it? That makes some difference.
Maybe i should have made a poll :-D Ive done the flapper mod just by plugging the vacuum pipe, but i honestly cant say ive noticed any difference, so i wondered if drilling the baffle would be worth doing, although i understand about back pressure and dont wanna upset the bike.
Does sound better but by the time you have bought all those tools (if you haven't already got them) you could prob have a cheap slip on, however I preffer the look of the standard
IMO it wont matter about back pressure, thats fer strokers. Gonna drill mine this week soon as I get chance. Will let ya know how it goes, unless you beat me to it.
Any sparky will have a 32mm cutter and arbor, and surely ya can borrow a drill? Wickes or aldi will do a shit un fer 20 quid
20 isn't too bad but I would still find someone to borrow the bits from cos I'm tight! You actually doing yours blaggers? Let me know if it sounds good enough as I may put my standard one back on
Yea mate, defo doing it. Was gonna do it when I rebuilt but forgot. Also forgot to do the flapper mod. Cos i'm a knob.
We could always buy the tool as a group and share it. Also, in the video i noticed he drilled both sides, where i thought you are only meant to drill the 1, or am i mistaken?
Lol. Just bought the extention bar for a fiver MM Flatbit Extension 300mm | eBay I reckon i have the drill saw bit in my garage.
Did mine last year...............cant say it improved performance but it sounds great!!...............I did mine with a "Cone Cutter" as the baffle plate inside is I think not your common bvit of steel..............kenhard and will blunt a normal tank cutter.
