Got an email from Cox Honda today to tell me they had my new nose cone in and it will be shipped today, so with that the hope it will turn up tomorrow (fingers crossed) I started to strip her down for her nose job.
She doesn't look too pretty at the moment but luckily I have lived with my misses over 6 years now so I'm used to the look before the face is put on.
I fitted a new front mud guard the other day so the bike will soon be mint again and stone chip free :D

The new nose arrived this morning at about 8.30am which I was proper chuffed with!
A couple of hours later she went shopping so I thought to my self why stand in the garage when I can stay in the warm, so I sat at the dinning table with both nose cones and started to transfer all the lights and grill bits etc.
Next min she's come back early and scared the crap out of me! I nearly actualy stabbed myself in the eye with a screwdriver!

Her- 'WHAT THE FCUK ARE YOU DOING???'

Me- 'what? I have covered the table this time'

Her- 'YEA WITH SOME OF OUR BEST TOWELS!!!'

    Me- 'oops'

You should always use your best towels to wrap your baby in!

Best get yourself some venture shield fitted to that nose cone then while it's new. It's great stuff. Worth every penny IMO.

Yup. I've had it on my blade from day 1. I wouldn't have a new bike/panel without it. I'm going to order more of it for the blackbird as its just had new fairings put on. You can get the full kit for your bike that's already cut for each panel.
It can be fitted by yourself if your handy enough (there's a few videos on YouTube showing u how). Or you can get it fitted by someone how does it for a living.
I'm going to try it myself to be honest.

Oh n just to add. Don't go for the cheaper options. Tried that the other day on the blackbird and it failed miserably. The cheap stuff is way too thin. The venture shield is atleast 4 times as thick.

I will see If I can find someone local to me, i would love to try myself but I know it will just end up with me kicking the bike over!

If you are going to get someone to do it for you. If its only the nose come and mudguard that your doing, then it shouldn't be too expensive. As they will probably just use a sheet and cut it out on the bike, rather than buying the bike specific kit.

Why, exactly, are there such things as 'best' towels. It's an item that has one function to perform and one should be able perform it just as good from one item to another.

Is it another one of those things like 'best' china, that sits in the cupboard all year around doing sod all but take up space?
