Best way it to drill it out buddy and re thread the hole.. sounds like a pain but it will probaly be the easiest way...

Have you tried small mole grips on the lip of the Allen head?

i had a similar issue removing the rear cowl from my repsol a while back

I got a flat hear screw driver larger then the hole and hammered it in - it makes the groves and then i turned it using the screw driver..

other way as above, drill and re-thread the hole..

Both the solutions I'd come up with Jay, but I have seen it done by welding a bolt into the socket on the top.

Ooh, just remembered. I managed it once by tapping an oversized torx head key into an overbored Allen head. The flutes in the torx key make it much easier to wedge it into the hole.

If the bolt is in a solid part of the swingarm try knocking in a 12 point torx bit that's slightly too big, the shock sometimes loosens them but you can then turn the torx bit. Do not under any circumstances use those tapered easy out things, utter junk.

If it's the thread thats stripped none of the above are any good to you, are they? You need upwards pressure under the head while undoing it. Usually a nail bar, pinch bar, crowbar jobbie. Whats left of the thread will 're tap' on the way out but it will still be cross threaded and fooked.

All sorted now, after many F%$ks sh1ts and other profanities the bolt is out. Using my battery operated mini grinder (which i had forgotten i had bought!) and a thin grinding disc I cut a cross in the top of the bolt and out it came with phillips driver. THANK FOOK!

    Cheers for the suggestions!
