Ive fitted a PC5 to my 04RR and downloaded a custom map for the Acro full ti system i have fitted. It has made it slightly more responsive in the midrange and the throttle response is snappier however I plan on getting it mapped on a dyno at some point for optimum fuelling.

Flapper Mod, K&N air filters, power commander and race pipes are what will give you the best overall engine performance increase without starting to go deep into the engine. If you want faster acceleration then think about the gearing!

The flapper mod is a little flap that feeds the airbox, best put it into google it will be explained better there than i'll manage.
I went a bit further and removed the lot and fitted a carbon replacement intake, which removes all the restriction!

Not that you,ll notice but it,ll let you sleep better at night knowing its done!.................Oh.............and when pullin hard you can hear the induction roar .............kinda cool!.If you want to keep with that 10 then you,ll have to get a later Blade or go for gearing.

I recon so, I'm planning on getting a proper custom map on mine I guess i'll know for sure then!
I've fitted the carbon fibre intake and a set of the pipercross filters and a PCV, plus i've got a titanium ex BSB full system so hopefully I should get some good figures when I finally get round to getting it mapped.
I'd like to get my hands on a set of HRC velocity stacks or similar if I could find a set, and preferably before mapping!!

It made a small difference, apparently its something put in place to meet the emissions requirements - just like the servo \ wires! (where the flap opens after a 3000rpm...)

ROGUE RACING CBR1000RR Intake Flapper Valve page

You can actually reach in and pull the hose out without removing the fairing..but this si the pc i took when i had the fairings off - flapper is on the left side of the bike at the front..

I have an RR5 that I have done some work to and it does make a difference. It has got a PC3, K&N filters, flapper mod, end can and a full dyno set up. The dyno is well worth the money, as it makes sure that things are all running as they should with the other mods in place. I have also got up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket and she nows pulls like a good un. :D

No I left the front standard. I keep thinking about changing the bike for a newer model Blade, but can honsetly say that mine goes so well right now, that I will wait 12 months or so.
