OK my contract is up, well it ends in Sept but I can upgrade from now will be replacing my HTC Desire which is 2 years old and been a great mobile My short list:: HTC One X Samsung Galaxy S3 Iphone S4 or wait until Sept for the Iphone 5 (new Iphone). thoughts? One reason for looking into the Apple Phone recently is that I can use my current games etc... I have for my Ipad and ipod touch etc.... thoughts?
Depend on what os you prefer. Dont forget that the iphone 5 will have a unique connector preventing your ipad accessories from working with it. Cloud is handy on the iphone if you use it on your pad though.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a whole lot better than the iPhone S4 (old tech), so either one of those or wait for the iPhone S5? although I like my Samsung Galaxy Note, but some says it to big lol
the Samsung note is a bit big, and I may wait for a few weeks. unsure of the date or when they will announce the new iphone. Anyone know when they shall say something?
My contract is up for renewal with Vodafone. I'm currently using the iPhone 4, but don't know wether to get the 4s or wait for the 5.....
iPhone 5 gets my vote, particularly as you have an iPad to complement it and share all the games, utils and apps you already have, not to mention the absolute ease of syncing all your data across both. No brainer, imo, but you need to work out what you value most in a mobile.
Reasons for getting an iPhone: Retina Screen Size Compatibility with your existing tech (major win) iOS design (inertia logic, common UI rendering, etc) Apps coverage Gaming Extensibility (via JB) Reasons to get a Samsung: If you want to use it as an actual phone 'Apple'
Very divisive subject obviously... I have just replaced my HTC Desire, and I went for an S3. The ONLY thing the iPhone does better is its screen (which is amazing, in fairness)... and the design, although thats down to personal opinion... in all other areas, the S3 is the better phone. Plus, do you REALLY want to jump on the Apple cart, and have a panel of evangelical Americans tell you what software you can/cannot install on the device you've just paid good money for?!?!?
all good information. One reason I got the HTC over the iphone was that Android is very flexible and you can do more at home than with the Apple products that are very restrictive BUT saying that I love my Ipad, Ipod Touch and nano. easy to use and fun. So the iphone is at the moment on the top of my lid just
Yep... missed that bit in your post where you said you already have Apple products...... no-brainer then really... no point having to purchase your apps/games again for a different O/S.
He's already on the Apple cart! As for Apple dictating what you can/can't install, that's what jailbreaking is for. Without JB, Android or WinMoPho would be better, but JB opens up iOS so you can use its full power.
