Hi guys. In the middle of June a drunk uninsured driver took me and the bike out of action for a while. I wont go into the details as it just gets me pissed off, more important things to worry about than ranting over somthing that I cant change. So I have been repairing the bike and myself in the last few months. I have decided to use the bike mostly on the track. Ive never done track days on bikes so its all new to me. Cant wait though. Here are afew pictures of the bike how it was and how it is now. Im pleased with the results. Afew points go the the person who guesses the influence of the new paint scheme. Accossato brake MC Hel lines 55 rear tyre Brembo Rc pads GPR GPE titanium exhaust Hi fibre race body work and air tubes HM plant high screen, made by skidmarx Renthal grips 16:44 sprockets Next thing is to get flush coolant and add water wetter, as the temp seems slightly higher after race bodywork installed. Then track day on the 12th and suss out what would be of benefit to upgrade. Forks, rear shock, wheels quickshifter would all be nice.
Sternum was fractured and dislocated, bone now healed but joint still moves from time to time. Think it will be like that for awhile.
Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad you and your bike are alright! Your bike looks great and I'm kicking myself because I know that paint scheme but I'm pulling a blank. Hailwood? The uh 250/6?
not good news about the crash but the blade looks sweet. the HM plant bodywork and screen. got any links where you bought them? and how well did they fit?
The bodywork are direct from HiFibre Race bodywork. Details can be found on ebay. The race screen I got off ebay as Skidmarx could not manufacture me one in time. The screen is perfect but has now mounting holes, this never bothered me as I riveted it to fairing anyway. The skidmarx McGuiness rep is what you would want for a road bike (has holes) race bodywork fitted great. Afew tweaks but i guess its the same with all race panels. Great service from Dave.
Looks good mate, and well done to you for sorting it all out! You will love the track mate and will never look back, once you get the bug I doubt you will ever ride the roads again...lol Nice Job!
Very close Mr B. However its actually the 2012 Wilson Craig Bikes. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3c3aebn8Y...8JVQ-Zx8/s1600/fayes+bday+walderstown+025.JPG
With the no.8 it's closer to the edge tt guy Martin inspired mate I'm sure.... But the question you have to ask - is what inspired that bike! Pretty sure the ago / hailwood simple designs on the old mv's and even hondas... Either way it's retro which = cool as fcuk!
Yeh the Guy martin Wilson craig bike is for sure inspired by the old hailwood design. The No8 on mine is my old ice hockey number and copy of the 2012 Wilson craig. Still retro though. 5 point to Mr B and 5 points for Jimbo
