    Hi,

I am a new member, and have looked to see if this has been discussed anywhere in previous posts but the key words bring up irrelevant threads - apologies if it has been covered here somewhere.

I got on my 2010 blade after 5 days off it yesterday morning, and every time I accelerated hard the engine cuts out and the engine warning light comes on. I have to knock it into neutral turn the key off and then restart it on the roll which it does first time every time. When I acclerate hard again it does it again. It also seems a little lumpy at cruising speed.

Ive got a carbon Akrapovic slip on and a Power Commander. All connectors to this seem to be fine. Anyone have any idea what is going? Its never done it before, just started yesterday and is doing it again today. Thanks

I'd unplug the pcv then try it again just in case, but it sounds like fuel pump failing...

Or as this happened to me on my 11 check to see if the battery has come away from the rubber strap holding it in place if it has then the battery lead to the terminal may be broke causing a short.

Thanks all, I'll be trying all of the above later this afternoon. On my home from work last night it started spluttering and jerking then finally gave up the ghost in the middle of the road. Had to push it a mile to a Sainsbury car park. The battery seems to be fine, it feels like the engine is getting starved of fuel. All the lights and checks occur when I turn it on, it now just wont fire when I try to start it. Only got 3000 on the clock.

One option (not cheap) is get it to DObles in coulsdon , south london/Surrey - uk's biggest Honda dealer I think, how near are they to you?

Check that the fuel pump relay is fully home, and the other relays - I rode from Manchester to the Alps with the fuel relay just 'resting; on the connectors - conked out in the snow going over some pass, and spluttered in the rain that afternoon / conking out - all I had to do was push it fully home.

Post up where you are and see if another member off here lives close enough to meet up and swap relays over to eliminate that - plus give some moral support if nothing else.

Fuel pump relay is under fuse box lid behind battery - sorry I can't help more and I'm not a mechanic either -

I know it’s been a while but this is the only info I can find, other than this it’s going to cost me a fortune

Best suggestion is going to be trying all of the advice above from our historic members.

Obviously if there's no power commander, miss that bit out.

Had this on my 2015. Turned out to be the kill switch contact. Got it serviced under warranty... dealer said they might be having a recall on the kill switches.

Just my two cents, hope it helps!
