ok finally getting my crap together... and the bike is coming along... full change in oil... brake fluid.. clutch fluid.. HEL braided brake lines are on, HIDs and HALOs are on, KANEG rearsets are on, changed the front tyre out ... it had hairline fractures in it! now just finialising the fairing paint job.... so this is what she is looking like now.... everyone will probably think yuk.. but its my bike and i like it.. I need to get her clear coated... Cant wait to see it all on the bike and get her road registered!. so i have some piccies... what you don't see is the violet pearl in the color.. which looks amazing in the sunlight... so will do pics when on the bike! hoping to be in the next week!.
Bit different, who cares what people think they don't have to ride it and can always look the other way.
Each to their own and whatnot. Not my cup of tea but if everyone liked the same things the world would be a very boring place with no variety or individuality. Look forward to seeing the finished product though. Best of luck lad
Thanks.. yes very very different.. . what can i say..I am a chick after all... so my taste will be completely different to the fellas... plus putting it back together will be the interesting part to see how it turns out overall... If i hate it.. or get sick of it.. i'll just repaint it its a combination of my love of astronomy and bikes... so thats where i was going with the paint theme... clear coat today to make it shine and protect the paint!.
I too am a fan of Astonomy (or Cosmology to be 100% accurate) but i do like my bike pretty stock when it comes to mods, simple subtle things like can, levers etc and maybe shocks but thats about it really.
clear coat is done and dry... so decided to put the fairings back on tonight... The pics are pretty crappy i phone pics... but here ya go...
yeah my k9 gixxer is stock except pazzo levers, tank pad, ventura rack!. Unfortunately the cbr when i got it had such a crap paint job over it.. the bike was originally silver, then 2pacc'ed red and black... that the red was peeling off in places... so i figured bugger it, i may as well repaint it so it stops the paint from "peeling" look and i may aswell do a custom job, and do something completely different... Im glad I did, because there were bolts that were not tightened and done up properly from whoever did the previous paint job... so the bike got a complete going over to make sure everything was in place!.
Who did the painting and clearcoat and what was the cost as i need my spare fairings painted in plain gloss white.
white, black marble and Diamond clear.. but it is a waterbased product so you will have to clear it straight away and not leave it sit for the white and black... a different brand was used for the violet pearl... and yes in OZ... so shipping fairings would be too costly!..
Not sure I am very keen but hey why not, it’s a free world. I have a couple of quick questions regarding post #1: Can you remind us what sunlight looks like? For a Sheila you seem to have a very hairy arm?
hahahaha thats cause i was taking the photo and it wasnt my arm?!.. so daylight you say... And she passed road worthy with flying colors! So now on the road! felt so good riding her around today and so different to my gixxer!
