Finally got the rear-end mounted (seat rail was bent) and all the plastic crap on. Also mounted tank, tank fairing, seat and front (again)... If the postoffice manages to get me my R77 carbon pipe in time tomorrow I should be good to go on saturday.. yaaaaay happy days Recap, this was before : and yes, the front tire is on backwards, I must have been drunk when I put that on...
Today! I put on my new Red SMX Plus Boots, my red RC1 Jacket, my red 365 alpine star gloves (you get the drift very color coordinated for the first time in my life) and took the loooong way to work... Its amazing how much difference the fitted jacket and boots make to your confidence..
Well today I collected it at last ! Took the scenic route home , cleaned and polished her for tomorrows ride out....And just away to order an exhaust and some crash bungs
Have i missed the post with the pictures? opps found it http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/6701.htm
Put the parts back on that I removed for the track, lubed& checked adjustment of the chain, upped the tyre pressures, left ultimate track day sticker on
Well I finally got some balls and removed both wheels to take to the garage to get my new GP racers fitted seems my tyre does rub
Finally finished rebuilding the bike today, yaaaay me! Went out for a little spin and found, after a while, that both screws holding the throttle in place where halfway out and 3 of 4 screws holding both rearview mirrors were gone :| I might have been a bit hasty just wanting to ride her again!
Went for a run of about 150 miles , then got a head start in the winter strip down Some heavy cleaning required and the fairings need attention too. Will all get done though
