Small surface scratches above the tail light but in hindsight a bit of wonderweb would have stopped it.AS for stability 170mph on the autobahn no problem:D

Had to do that on my Gixer, just involved drilling slightly bigger holes, really was no problem. I'd think twice about getting rid mate, you'll regret it for sure.

Having read all the great reports i decided to get my self a us-10 kriega bag and a tank harness. It all arrived so i got strait to work and fitted the strap a very good fit know for the bag or thow the bag fits ok for me i find that it is not a practical bag to use every day as altho the bag is total water proof its only like an expensive bin bag if only they made a normal type tank bag for the harness that would be great. So for me i'll only get use out of it for my waterproofs. my only other idea is to get i cheap tank bag and see if i can fit that to the harness. I wont be buying any more of this stuff for me i think the Ventura system is a better product for longer trips

That may be wot its designed for but the ventura kit is easier to pack and more user friendly as i have tried both systems for over night trips, plus if you go out for the day and your carrying the bags of the bike the venture bag does not look like your carrying an expensive bin bag.

thats a valid point that i can't use it as a tank bag but the only reason i wanted to put it on the tank is so i can get the wife on the back as there is no other place to put the kriega bag yes the ventura does look like a top box but lets face it any luggage on a sports bike looks sh-t. If you con-pair sizes like for like UScombo50 DryBag is £205 and the L-Brackets Pack-Rack and 51 litre bag is £265 then the difference is not that bad. I will be using my Kriega bag on the tank when i go to the Isle of man this year but only
with the waterproofs in it for me and my wife.

Well.....Ventura stuff sold well, purchased a Kriega US30. Excellent fitment to rear of bike. Held enough stuff for a 7 day trip to Germany. I can certainly vouch that it is waterproof.
The only thing I may do is buy a US 20 to strap to the top as an overnight bag so I dont have to take the whole bag off on the ferry. I already had a US 10 but can't get the overnight stuff into it.
It was very stable at autobahn speeds, easy on and off with Kriega's new fixing system, straps loop onto the rear sub frame, packed right the bag doesn't touch any paintwork.
All in all very pleased with it after the Ventura. The advantages for the Kriega are that its waterproof, no changing racks when away, easier to carry off the bike, I know the Ventura turns into a rucksack, but try getting about a ferry with one of those on your back whilst juggling a helmet......dis-advatages, takes all of one minute longer to fix to bike, harder to pack, but after a couple of trial runs, not as bad as first thought. One, not much use external pocket on Kriega. The little rack was really useful for bungeeing stuff to.
I only use the luggaeg twice a year on the bike. I have used the Kriega for other stuff.

    Ventura convert here -

Went to France for 8 days in June, first time 'tent touring' and it worked perfectly

I go for the 'plastic bags for types of clothes' packing method (inc. one for dirty stuff) - plenty of space for everything - could travel lighter but getting there - really kept costs down paying €5 average a night for accom.

Also taken full 85 litres of luggage using 2 bags, works well and stays stable.

Kreiga never looks big enough but I have gopro stuff, camera, chargers, laptop etc. to take.

The baglux is handy to put the all the documents / valuables in - if you leave the big take that with out leaving everything elso on bike - all depends what you doing / where you going.

Just got back from 3 weeks around Spain. Used Ventura, perfect for taking luggage into hotels and apartments.

Ventura all the way for me, and although the fitting instructions say you have to file some of the plastic on the tail piece, I didn't find you needed to, just took the 4 bolts out and used the 4 new long bolts to hold the side peices on and job done. 5 mins top. Rack goes either way round, no problem with paint protecting or anything like that and the bag comes on / off in seconds. If any one wants to buy a set of Kreiga lugage then let me know, i've got 2 x 10's and a 20L that fit together or use seperately (only used once).
