Basically I'm trying to reset the self diagnostic FI warning light on my 2006 Blade. I have searched the web and only found reference to 2004/5, (which I have tried but doesn't work).

I set off a fault code 23, after attaching an incorrect resistor to the o2 sensor heater whilst trying to make my own o2 eliminator. The bike runs fine (I think) but I want to clear the light.

I found the red, 4 pin Data Link Connector but need to know the procedure for clearing the fault memory.

If you have access to the 2006/7 service manual, you might be able to help me....

From the Haynes manual - to remove fault code from ECM memory; ignition off,fit Honda SCS service connector or bridge BROWN and GREEN wire terminals of the Data Link Connector (DLC), make sure kill switch is in run position then turn ignition on, disconnect bridge wire from DLC, malfunction light should come onfor about 5 seconds, during which time bridge wire should be reconnected between BROWN and GREEN. The light should start to flash when bridge wire is reconnected indicating that all fault codes have been erased. However if the light flashes 20 times the memory has not been erased so the process has to be repeated. Turn ignition off, remove the bridge wire, check the MIL & FI warning lights (in some cases it may be necessary to repeat the erasing proceedure more than once). Reassemble bike. Hope this helps mate, not tried any of this myself only repeating the Haynes manual. Good luck.

Thanks guys, but I've already tried this without success. Also I don't think the DLC is the same as the 04/05. Mine is red, and with four wires, see photos below. I have the 04/05 manual and the picture shows a different connector with two wires(see below for manual extract).
It may not be resetting because a fuse has gone and needs replacing. Although I don't know where to find the o2 sensor heater fuse, if there is such a thing?
Any other suggestions for a fix would be appreciated; I really don't want to pay a dealer if it can be done by shorting out wires and replacing fuses etc.

According to Haynes both 04/05 and 06/07 DLCs are 4 pin but wiring is different. On the 06/07 its located under the left hand side fairing. There appears to be no O2 sensor fuse. Sorry mate no more information available.

The Haynes manual says GREEN and BROWN (not GREEN and BROWN with YELLOW tracer). Might be one for Arthur or MrB. Sorry I can't be of more help, hope you get it sorted.
